U.S. President Donald Trump has retweeted a letter that brands protesters as terrorists. He has also termed the conduct of protesters as 'acts of domestic terror'. Can such a view be endorsed?

Gravitas: Trump thinks protesters are terrorists!

Protests over the killing of George Floyd continue across the World. In Mexico, vandalism is denting the credibility of the cause, in South Korea, the anger is shifting towards the Government.

Gravitas: 'Black Lives Matter' protests: Vandalism denting credibility?

<p>The credibility of the "Black Lives Matter" movement is being shattered by the vandalism incidents taking place across the United States in the name of protests.</p>

<p>Australian authorities are taking legal action to try stop a Black Lives Matter protest scheduled to take place in Sydney on Saturday, citing the risk of a coronavirus outbreak given the large numbers expected to attend.</p>

<p>Thousands of people have pledged to attend a protest organised in Sydney on Saturday in the wake of death of black American George Floyd in US police custody.</p>

<p>Two Buffalo, New York, police officers were suspended without pay on Thursday after a video showed them shoving a 75-year-old man to the ground, as protests over the police killing of George Floyd continued into their tenth night.</p>

<p>The video taken by a reporter from local public radio station WBFO and posted on its website and Twitter account shows the white-haired man approaching a line of officers in riot gear. One officer pushes him with a baton and a second one with his hand. The sound of a crack is heard and then blood trickles from the man's head. The man, who is white, is not identified.</p>

<p>"I was deeply disturbed by the video," Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown said in a statement. "After days of peaceful protests and several meetings between myself, police leadership and members of the community, tonight's event is disheartening."</p>

Two Buffalo, New York, police officers were suspended without pay on Thursday after a video showed them shoving a 75-year-old man to the ground, as protests over the police killing of George Floyd continued into their tenth night.

Two Buffalo, New York, police officers were suspended without pay on Thursday after a video showed them shoving a 75-year-old man to the ground, as protests over the police killing of George Floyd continued into their tenth night. The video taken by a reporter from local public radio station WBFO and posted on its website and Twitter account shows the white-haired man approaching a line of officers in riot gear. One officer pushes him with a baton and a second one with his hand. The sound of a crack is heard and then blood trickles from the man's head. The man, who is white, is not identified. "I was deeply disturbed by the video," Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown said in a statement. "After days of peaceful protests and several meetings between myself, police leadership and members of the community, tonight's event is disheartening." <p>One New York police officer was shot shortly before midnight Wednesday and another officer was slashed in Brooklyn, US, but it was unclear if the attack was related to ongoing George Floyd protests.</p>

<p>The names and conditions of the officers were not released, but media said the injuries were not life-threatening. Both were injured near Church and Flatbush avenues in Brooklyn when a suspect walked up to an officer and attacked.</p>

<p>The shooting happened, nearly four hours after an 8 pm curfew went into effect intended to quell unrest over the death of George Floyd in Minnesota.</p>

<p>One arrest was made at the scene. Media said a third officer suffered a hand injury and the city's mayor, Bill de Blasio, was headed to the hospital.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, prosecutors on Wednesday levelled new criminal charges against four Minneapolis policemen implicated in the death.</p>

<p>The added murder charge filed against one officer already in custody and the arrest of three more accused of playing a role in the killing of George Floyd, 46, came as several nights of escalating unrest gave way to mostly peaceful protests.</p>

<p>Floyd's death has become the latest flashpoint for long-simmering rage over police brutality against African Americans, propelling the issue of racial justice to the top of the political agenda five months before the US presidential election on November 3.</p>

He stopped at a damaged church and posed with a Bible. “America will be greater than ever before” is the US President's war cry. The world is also responding to the American call. In London, the crowd at Central Park continues to swell by the hour. In Bethlehem - Israelis and Palestinians have come together to light candles in Floyd’s memory. In Paris, there are calls for justice for the murder of a black frenchman. Black lives matter, and the movement is now global!

Black lives matter: The world responds to America's war cry!

Hackers and activists have once again taken to protests but this time after the brutal death of George Floyd due to police brutality. An online collective group by the name of 'Anonymous' has surged once again as protests are spreading across US.

Who are the 'Anonymous' and what have they done so far?

<p>Like many celebrities across the world, 'Harry Potter' star Emma Watson too paid tribute to George Floyd and posted a black box on her social media page to observe #BalckoutTuesday. The post though received criticism as Watson's post had a white border around the black box and many accused her paying attention to aesthetics on Instagram over the usual cause.<br />

The actress, in the early hours of Wednesday, has clarified and expressed support in the fight against social injustice and racism.</p>

<p>"There is so much racism, both in our past and present, that is acknowledged nor accounted for."White supremacy is one of the systems of hierarchy and dominance, of exploitation and oppression, that is tightly scheduled into society. The post though received criticism as Watson's post had a white border around the black box and many accused her paying attention to aesthetics on Instagram over the usual cause. The actress, in the early hours of Wednesday, has clarified and expressed support in the fight against social injustice and racism. As a white person, I have benefited from this," the 30-year-old actor wrote. What really played out between the police and George Floyd in his final moments

<p>Known to be vocal against injustice, Hollywood actor George Clooney has penned a powerful essay condemning the death of George Floyd. Clooney termed racism as the 'greatest pandemic' of America, of which no 'vaccine' has been found in 400 years.<br />
<br />
The essay has been published by Daily Beast where Clooney calls for "systemic change" in the US to tackle the problem of racism.<br />
<br />
"How many times have we seen people of colour killed by police?" he writes.<br />
<br />
"Tamir Rice, Philando Castile, Laquan McDonald. There is little doubt that George Floyd was murdered. We watched as he took his last breath at the hands of four police officers. Now we see another defiant reaction to the systemic cruel treatment of a portion of our citizens like we saw in 1968, 1992, and 2014. We don`t know when these protests will subside. We hope and pray that no one else will be killed. But we also know that very little will change," he continued.<br />
Clooney feels fundamental changes need to be made.<br />
<br />
"The anger and the frustration we see playing out once again in our streets is just a reminder of how little we`ve grown as a country from our original sin of slavery," he wrote, adding: "The fact that we aren`t actually buying and selling other human beings anymore is not a badge of honour. We need systemic change in our law enforcement and in our criminal justice system. ... This is our pandemic. It infects all of us, and in 400 years we`ve yet to find a vaccine."<br />
<br />
Clooney also took a dig at US President Donald Trump and write, "We need policymakers and politicians that reflect basic fairness to all of their citizens equally. Not leaders that stoke hatred and violence as if the idea of shooting looters could ever be anything less than a racial dog whistle," he said.</p>

<p>"So this week, as we`re wondering what it`s going to take to fix these seemingly insurmountable problems, just remember we created these issues so we can fix them. And there is only one way in this country to bring lasting change: Vote," concluded the star.<br />

Known to be vocal against injustice, Hollywood actor George Clooney has penned a powerful essay condemning the death of George Floyd. Clooney termed racism as the 'greatest pandemic' of America, of which no 'vaccine' has been found in 400 years. The essay has been published by Daily Beast where Clooney calls for "systemic change" in the US to tackle the problem of racism. "How many times have we seen people of colour killed by police?" he writes. But we also know that very little will change," he continued. Clooney feels fundamental changes need to be made. It infects all of us, and in 400 years we`ve yet to find a vaccine." Clooney also took a dig at US President Donald Trump and write, "We need policymakers and politicians that reflect basic fairness to all of their citizens equally. Not leaders that stoke hatred and violence as if the idea of shooting looters could ever be anything less than a racial dog whistle," he said. "So this week, as we`re wondering what it`s going to take to fix these seemingly insurmountable problems, just remember we created these issues so we can fix them. And there is only one way in this country to bring lasting change: Vote," concluded the star. The US at present is witnessing nationwide protests in following Floyd`s tragic death in Minnesota. He died after former police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for over eight minutes.
