
The theme for this year’s Independence Day, "Viksit Bharat," emphasises the government’s vision of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047. In Delhi, security measures have been intensified by deploying over 3,000 traffic police officers, more than 10,000 police personnel and 700 AI-based facial recognition cameras in preparation for the Independence Day celebrations.

In Ladakh's Leh, Indian Army personnel conducted a Tiranga Yatra from Col. Rinchen's Memorial to the Hall of Fame, as part of the celebrations for India’s 78th Independence Day.
