Students in Zagreb took to the streets on November 8 to protest against the ongoing COP27 in Egypt and Coca-Cola, which is the official sponsor of the climate summit. Protests elsewhere also demanded removal of the company as the official sponsor of the climate summit.

Protesters gathered outside the British embassy in Beirut, Lebanon on Nov 7, demanding the release of British-Egyptian political dissident Alaa Abdel Fattah. Alaa was a major figure in the 2011 revolt against the then President Hosni Mubarak that led to the toppling of his government. New British PM Rishi Sunak had said before the summit that he wanted to discuss this case at COP27.

Some are even upset over the non-participation of women in the global climate change conference.
