
Ravi Mohan Saini won one crore rupee in Kaun Banega Crorepati Junior, which was organised in 2001.

After two partially successful tries, he appeared for the exam again, in 2014, and qualified for the Indian Police Services (IPS) with an All-India Rank of 461.

Now at the age of 33, he took charge as the Superintendent of Police, Porbandar this week.

He was in class 10 when he appeared in KBC Junior in 2001. He was only 14 at that time. "I was the winner of Rs 1 crore. However, I got Rs 69 lakh after deduction of taxes, four years later," he had told a media organization in 2017.

Before being transferred to Porbandar, he served as the Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone 1 in Rajkot city.
