Thousands of Peru residents flocked to streets in the last week to raise their voices against the ousting of President Martín Vizcarra.
During the protests on Friday, at least 11 people have been critically wounded in a face-off between the demonstrators and the local police.
The protests have come after the former President was impeached over unproven allegations of having received bribes. The locals believe the new President was involved in a coup.
Several posters against the new President were spotted throughout the capital city where thousands marched against the ousting of the former President, who was popular among the voters.
Shops and showrooms across the capital city were shut, with several shop shutters reading out slogans such as "We live in a false illusion" as the city was engulfed by demonstrators.
