For those who have forgotten who Sanah is, she made her debut with Vikas Bahl’s directorial Shaandaar with Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. She played the role of a girl with body weight issues.&nbsp;

Now in Saroj Ka Rishta, Sanah will deal with the culture of body shaming in India in the film. The film is set to go on floors this month as Sanah is prepping to start shooting for the same in August. The film will be shot extensively in Ghaziabad and Mawana.&nbsp;

Abhishek Saxena, while talking about the film said, "As a fat person, I have noticed that body-shaming doesn’t happen only with those who are on the heavier side, but also with thin people. The idea germinated from there. The film essentially revolves around a father-daughter relationship with Kumud Mishra and Sanah at the centre. There is also a love triangle with the two heroes Gaurav Pandey and Randeep Rai."

On casting Sanah for the role, he said, "She is like Saroj in real life too. Her character shares a fabulous relationship with her father who is worried about being separated from her when she gets married and insists that she find a man who can stay with them."

When Sanah was asked about her character, she said, "I am looking forward to mould myself into someone who is from a completely different culture. It’s mysterious and offers great scope for exploration."

Referring to the mandate of the 2015 assembly elections in Delhi where the AAP bagged 67 seats out of 70, the deputy CM further said, "67/3 was an important decision of the Delhi people, the honourable court today delivered another important judgement".

He also thanked the Supreme Court on behalf of the Delhi people saying that the honourable court has shown that the people are superior.

In its verdict over the administrative control of the national capital, the Supreme Court on Wednesday said that the&nbsp;Lieutenant Governor of Delhi (L-G) does not have the authority to act independently and is bound to act on the advice of the ministers.&nbsp;

The ruling was given by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dipak Misra during a hearing on the power tussle between the Delhi government and the Centre over the administrative control of Delhi.

CJI Misra also said in the judgement that Delhi does not have "powers of a full state", it is a "class apart".

Will continue to fight for complete statehood of Delhi: Manish Sisodia after Supreme Court's judgement

The Supreme Court on Wednesday said that the&nbsp;Lieutenant Governor of Delhi (L-G) does not have the authority to act independently and is bound to act on the advice of the ministers.&nbsp;

The ruling was given by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dipak Misra during a hearing on the power tussle between the Delhi government and the Centre over the administrative control of the national capital. CJI Misra further said in the judgement that Delhi does not have "powers of a full state", it is a "class apart".

In three separate but concurring judgements, the bench, also comprising Justices A K Sikri, A M Khanwilkar, D Y Chandrachud and Ashok Bhushan, said there is no independent authority vested with the L-G to take independent decisions.

It said all decisions of the Council of Ministers, who are elected representatives of the people of Delhi, must be communicated to the L-G but that does not mean his concurrence is required.

"There is no room for absolutism and there is no room for anarchism also," the court ruled.

He said, "Union and State government must cooperate. Union and state government should work together".

CJI Misra&nbsp;added, "Legitimate decisions by the government&nbsp;cannot be delayed by the L-G. Union must not usurp the power of the legislature".

The Constitution of India mandates a "federal balance between the state and the Centre", the CJI said, adding,"the Centre shall not usurp powers on areas within the dominion of state."

Virtually disagreeing with the High Court order, the Supreme Court said the LG should not act in a mechanical manner and stall the decisions of the Council of Ministers.

It said the LG has not been entrusted with independent powers and he can refer issues on difference of opinion to the President only in exceptional matters and not as a general rule.

Supreme Court denies full statehood to Delhi, but asks Lt Governor to cooperate with AAP govt

In a court hearing on Wednesday, Chief Justice of India(CJI) Dipak Misra said that the&nbsp;Lieutenant Governor of Delhi(L-G) does not have the authority to act independently and is bound to act on the advice of ministers.&nbsp;

The CJI added that "Delhi does not have powers of a full 'state', it is a class apart".

While reading a judgement on the&nbsp;case involving the Delhi government and the Centre's tussle regarding administrative control over the national capital, the CJI said that the state government and the Union government must cooperate.

Latha is the director of the firm.&nbsp; 
 
"We do not like people playing around with court's order," a bench of Justices Ranjan Gogoi and R Banumathi observed. 
 
During the hearing, the counsel appearing for Latha said she had not authorised the lawyer to give such an undertaking before the court earlier. 
 
To this, the bench said, "the long and short of it is that you (Latha) have not paid and the law will take its own course. We will pass order". 
 
The apex court is hearing a plea filed by the advertising agency against the March 10, 2016 order of the Karnataka High Court quashing the proceedings against Latha, which were initiated after a trial court order. 
 
Latha had approached the high court after the trial court had referred the private complaint filed by the advertising agency to the police for investigation. 
 
During the hearing on Tuesday, the apex court observed, "We do not think that this is a case for quashing". 
 
"We had kept the matter pending because you had said that you will pay the amount," the bench said and posted the matter for hearing on July 10.

"You go and face the trial and if you are innocent, you will be acquitted," the bench observed. 
 
On February 20, the apex court had said if the firm - Mediaone Global Entertainment Ltd - does not pay the dues to advertising agency AD-Bureau Advertising Pvt Ltd within three months, then Latha would have to pay the amount as per undertaking given by her. 
 
The advertising agency had alleged in its complaint that they had ventured in the post-production of the film 'Kochadaiiyaan', which was produced by Mediaone Global Entertainment Ltd on Latha's personal guarantee and had funded Rs 10 crore for it.

It had claimed that Mediaone Global Entertainment Ltd, in which Latha was a director, was required to refund Rs 10 crore plus Rs 1.2 crore being the "guaranteed profit".&nbsp;

Union minister Nitin Gadkari asserted today that the departments under him have provided employment to over one crore youth since the NDA government came to power in May 2014.

Though the opposition parties are trying to attack the central government on the issue of employment generation, Mr Gadkari said, the claims made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi that his government has created lakhs of jobs are "true".

"What the prime minister has said is absolutely correct. After our government came to power under the leadership of our prime minister, my departments have awarded projects worth Rs. 10 lakh crore. And I have statistics to prove that. It has happened in sectors like highways, shipping, port, inland waterways, water resources," Mr Gadkari said.

"These departments generate a lot of direct and indirect employment. In my departments, one crore youths have been given employment," he said.

Asserting that the rate of employment generation has increased in the past four years, he said whenever there is an investment of Rs. 1,000 crore, "50 thousand to one lakh" jobs are created directly or indirectly.

While the manufacturing of equipment used in the construction of roads and buildings have doubled, the cement industry is also growing, he said.

"So one can say the industries related to these departments have grown, giving employment to many as engineers, labours, truck drivers," he asserted.

Mr Gadkari said he was in the process of collecting data to support his claims.

"We are collecting data... I can take a challenge regarding my departments. We constructed a tunnel in Kashmir where 2,000 Kashmiri youths were working. In Zoji La tunnel, more than 4,000 Kashmiri youth would be working for four years," he said.

The minister was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of an event to mark the 50th foundation day of WAPCOS, a consultancy organization and public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation.

Expressing shock at the fact that "thousands and thousands" of seats had remained uncontested in the recent West Bengal panchayat polls, the Supreme Court said on Tuesday that the grass root level democracy was not working in the state.&nbsp;

The apex court also asked the state election commission to provide exact details about such contested posts by Wednesday.&nbsp;

Out of the total 58,692 posts about 20,159 were uncontested in West Bengal Panchayat &nbsp;village, zilla parishad and panchayat samiti due to the violence that had struck the state during the polls in May this year.

"You (state election commission) are the guardian of law. It was vivid that so many seats were going uncontested," it said, adding "if nobody is contesting, then there will be no litigation. The fact that there were litigations and it means that everyone was aware of the fact that something was missing".

Senior advocate P S Patwalia, appearing for West Bengal unit of BJP, said violent incidents took place during the elections and people were not allowed to file their nomination papers. He also provided a district-wise break-up of the uncontested seats.

Earlier, the apex court had stayed the Calcutta High Court order asking the state election body to accept the nomination papers filed through e-mail for panchayat elections and directed the poll panel not to declare in the gazette the names of those candidates who had won unopposed.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;

Cabinet minister Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary tonight tweeted, "Madarso mein dress code ko lekar sarkar ne koi nayi niti nirdharit nahi ki hai. Iss vishay ko lekar vibhaag ka koi mat nahi hai (The government has not formed any new policy pertaining to the dress code of the madrassas. On this issue, there is no view of the department)."

Chaudhary is the Cabinet Minister for Minority Welfare, Muslim Waqf and Haj.

Earlier, the Minister of State for Muslim Waqf and Haj, Mohsin Raza, said, "The aim of the UP government is to bring madrassas at par with other educational institutions in every sense. Till now, students in madrassas have been wearing 'kurta-payjamas' but now this dress code will make it more formal... We might also try to meet the expenses,"&nbspsaid Raza.

Stressing that it is only the BJP-led governments which have done justice with the minorities, the minister said the other political parties have been considering them as only a vote-bank.

Raza said the current dressing style of madrassa students reflects a clear demarcation between them and the students of other schools which will come to an end now.

The government's move, however, evoked a mixed reaction from the community leaders with one section welcoming it cautiously but the other questioning the need to tinker with the madrassa students traditional attire.

"We will welcome it, if it is good, but only after seeing what the changes are and with what intentions they are being brought," said UP unit president of the Jamait Ulema-e-Hind, Ashhad Rashidi, who runs a number of madrassas in Moradabad, Rampur and Bijnore.

The spokesperson for All India Shia Personal Law Board, Yasoob Abbas, however, questioned the need for bringing a change in the traditional attire worn in madrassas.

"Who has objected to the traditional attire... It is acceptable by all... We are not in favour of the government forcing a new dress for students," Abbas said.

The state government has already gone ahead with its plans to introduce NCERT books in the madrassas of Uttar Pradesh in a bid to bring their students at par with their counterparts in other schools and to modernise education in madrassas affiliated to the State Madrassa Board.

"Till now, students in madrassas wear white kurta-pyjama, which reflects a particular faith. We will very soon propose a new dress code for them," the minister said.

Raza, however, refused to elaborate as to what the new dress code would be.

The police have ruled out the involvement of any self-styled godman so far.

Earlier, they found that the family had started following a Kondli-based godman, but nothing substantial was found on that front.

The police recovered a third register with notes about "salvation", "shunya" and "appeasing God".&nbsp;

Some loose sheets of paper were found containing notings from 2008, which indicated that Lalit Bhatia had turned towards spiritualism after his father's death that year.

Policemen questioned 20 family members including the family matriarch's eldest son, her daughter and one of her deceased daughters-in-law's sisters, all of whom denied that the family indulged in "occult", said a senior police officer.

There were rumours doing the rounds on Tuesday that 11 rods on top of the gate had something to do with the case but police ruled it out.

Police have more or less ruled out the involvement of any self-styled godman in the case and are probing it as a case of "shared psychosis". A senior officer also spoke to doctors from VIMHANS yesterday who also opined that it was a case of "shared psychosis", in which one person's delusional beliefs are transmitted to others.

Ten of the 11 members of the Bhatia family were found hanging from an iron-mesh in the ceiling on Sunday, while the body of 77-year-old Narayan Devi, the head of the family, was lying on the floor in another room of the house.

Devi's daughter Pratibha (57), her two sons Bhavnesh (50) and Lalit Bhatia (45) were also among the deceased. Bhavnesh's wife Savita (48) and their three children - Meenu (23), Nidhi (25), and Dhruv, aged 15, too were found dead.

Lalit Bhatia's wife Tina (42) and their 15-year-old son Shivam were also among those found dead. Pratibha's daughter Priyanka (33), who was engaged last month and would have married by the end of this year, was also found hanging.&nbsp;

The Crime Branch team again inspected the spot today and found a register whose earliest entries were from 2011 and had psychological musings and notes about "salvation", "shunya" and "appeasing God". There were some other papers also found which indicated that Lalit had assumed his father's alter ego and would often talk and behave like him. He would also observe 'maun vrat' sometimes.

While family members were clueless about this aspect, neighbours told police that Dhruv had often mentioned it to kids in the locality that "kaka par dada aate hain" (uncle is often possessed by grandfather's spirit).

The crime branch team also spoke to the delivery boy, who was the last person to see them alive and who had delivered 20 rotis to the family on June 30, a day before they were found hanging. He said that he had delivered 20 butter rotis on June 30 and did not find anything unusual in the behaviour of anyone.

The questioning of the family members began from 10 am Tuesday at the Burari police station.

A Crime Branch team, led by a Deputy Commissioner of Police-rank officer, today questioned deceased Narayan Devi's eldest son, Dinesh, her daughter Sujata Nagpal, deceased Priyanka's fiance at the police station.

They also questioned Lalit's wife Tina's sisters since the investigation had revealed that Lalit and Tina were the ones, who had convinced the family about performing the rituals to attain "salvation".

Some neighbours were also questioned and some distant relatives who had attended Priyanka's engagement last month were also questioned.

Tina's three sisters, who stay in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, also denied any such things and claimed that their brother-in-law and sister worshipped God like any other person and there was nothing that would point towards their involvement in "occult" practices.

Lalit's elder brother Dinesh and sister Sujata were also questioned and they also maintained that the family was not into occult or did not follow any tantrik or godmen. Dinesh told police that his younger brothers had shifted to Burari from Rajasthan 20 years ago.

Their questioning was wrapped up today since Dinesh and Sujata were supposed to leave from Delhi tonight.

Priyanka's fiance, who was also questioned, said that she was a normal woman and had never mentioned about "occult" practices.

He said that nothing in her behaviour indicated that she was thinking of committing suicide. Their was an arranged match and even when things were finalised, the Bhatia family had not carried out any rituals that would arouse suspicion, he told police.

He also said that Priyanka and he would talk often and would also discuss about their coming wedding.

These findings have led the police to believe that more than "occult", this case is about the family's psyche.

The police suspect that the family might have been suffering from "shared psychosis".

"Shared psychosis means that delusional beliefs are transmitted from one person to another. In this case, it is suspected that Lalit Bhatia, 45, was the one who had the delusion of talking to his father even after his death. And his beliefs were endorsed by other family members too," he said.

They might rope in a psychiatrist to understand the psyche of the family.&nbsp;

India’s kind offer has already been conveyed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Thai Ministry of Interior. The Thai government will write to thank all governments/entities that have generously offered such assistance/cooperation.

We can’t be categorical about everything because every actor and movie is different.”

When asked if she would let go of her fees or reduce it if the content connects with her, Alia responds: “Never say never, but I won’t let go of a movie that I like because of remuneration. I’ll find a way around it. I’ll still do it because the emotional attachment to my work is way more than the monetary one.”

The top court had reserved its judgment on the plea of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government challenging the Delhi High Court's ruling, which stated that Delhi is a Union Territory and the Lieutenant Governor, its administrative head.

In November last year, a five-judge Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court observed that the AAP government in Delhi needs the Lieutenant Governor's nod to govern the national capital, but the LG cannot sit on files beyond a reasonable period.

The bench, comprising Chief Justice Dipak Misra and justices A K Sikri, A M Khanwilkar, D Y Chandrachud and Ashok Bhushan had reserved the verdict in the case after a 15-day long hearing took place.

However, the Centre told the apex court that the AAP cannot claim privileges of a state government, as Delhi is a Union Territory.

The Centre also refuted allegations of the Arvind Kejriwal-led government that the Lieutenant Governor sat on files sent by the government for their execution.

The power tussle between the Delhi government and the Lieutenant Governor has been on since the formation of the AAP government in Delhi.

Recently, Kejriwal, along with Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and other, sat on a nine-day sit-in strike at Raj Niwas, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal's office-cum-residence.

Kejriwal and other ministers urged Baijal to direct the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers working under the Delhi administration to end their "undeclared strike."

Banks' unsecured loan book has grown four times the bank credit during the past three years, helped by a rise in discretionary spending, technology-driven disbursements and lower interest rates, says a report. 
 
Unsecured loans are the loans where individual exposures are smaller and more distributed and given without any collaterals but banks get higher margins. Typically personal loan, education loans and credit card spend fall under this category of loans. 
 
"Between fiscals 2015 and 2018, unsecured credit - comprising personal, small and medium enterprise (SME), and credit card loans - clocked a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 27 per cent or almost four times growth in bank credit," Crisil said in a report today. 
 
As of March 2018, outstanding unsecured loans stood at around Rs 5 trillion, accounting for 26 per cent of retail lending, compared to 21 per cent three years ago. 
 
Growth in unsecured loans is on account of a surge in discretionary spending, increased availability of customer data, faster disbursements driven by technology, and lower interest rates in some segments. 
 
The report said financiers are expected to focus more on this segment due to attractive yields. 
 
Return on assets is 2.5-3 per cent for personal and SME loans, and 3-4 per cent for credit cards, compared to under 2 per cent for home loans and new passenger vehicle loans, it said, adding rising competition has led to lower rates in some segments such as personal loans. 
 
In unsecured SME loans, rates have remained sticky, but average tenure and commissions paid to direct selling agents have increased, it said.
