Elon Musk had praised Texas governor Greg Abbott’s plans to allow shops, restaurants and movie theatres to reopen from Friday. Yemen has recorded its first deaths from the coronavirus pandemic, after the war-torn country confirmed five new cases, stoking fears of a major outbreak.

The country's healthcare system has been blighted by years of war that have driven millions from their homes and plunged the country into what the United Nations describes as the world's worst humanitarian crisis.

It has been mired in war since the Houthi group ousted the internationally recognised government from power in the capital Sanaa, prompting a Saudi-led alliance to intervene in March 2015.

According to its health minister Nasser Baoum, five COVID-19 cases with two deaths were reported in Aden and noted that the prevalence of other diseases with similar symptoms, such as dengue fever, made it difficult to detect coronavirus infections without testing.

The deaths come after aid organisations warned any coronavirus outbreak could have dire consequences after six years of civil war.

The United Nations has said it fears the novel coronavirus could be spreading undetected in a country where millions face famine and lack medical care after Yemen reported its first case of COVID-19 in the southern province of Hadhramout on April 10.

Satellite images of luxury boats near dictator Kim Jong Un's favoured villa in North Korea have revealed his current location.

Recent movements Kim and his entourage near Wonsan provide further indications he has been at the coastal resort, according to experts who monitor the reclusive regime.

Speculation had erupted about Kim's health and location after his unprecedented absence from April 15 celebrations to mark the birthday of his late grandfather and North Korea's founder, Kim Il Sung.

Eight Labrador retrievers are being trained at the University of Pennsylvania in the US to ''sniff out'' COVID-19 cases.

According to experts, if this initiative succeeds, then it will ''revolutionize'' screening for the deadly illness and the response towards it.

The reason behind particularly choosing this breed was their ''powerful noses'' as per the university.

The dogs are the first trainees in a research project of the University of Pennsylvania to determine whether canines can detect an odour associated with the coronavirus.

In a statement issued by the University, the dogs will be used as ''canine surveillance'' at airports, businesses and hospitals to prevent the pathogen from spreading.

A similar effort is underway in United Kingdom at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, where researchers previously demonstrated that dogs could identify malaria infections in humans.

A study has found that despite less number of infections, the states of Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal have the highest rate of coronavirus spread in India.

They warn that West Bengal which has so far reported over 750 cases is on the way to become the next Maharashtra- which is worst hit by the outbreak in India. So far, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal account for nearly 4 per cent of the total coronavirus cases in India.

Coronavirus maybe more lethal to the men but the chaos has taken a toll at women's sexual and reproductive health around the world.

After a study carried out by United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency (UNFPA), has estimated that more than 47 million women across 114 low-income nations will not access modern contraceptions if the pandemic continues for next six months.

According to researchers, it is predicted that there will be seven million unintended pregnancies and 31 million cases of gender-based violence.

Dr Natalia Kanem, executive director of the UNFPA, said: “This new data shows the catastrophic impact that Covid-19 could soon have on women and girls globally. The pandemic is deepening inequalities, and millions more women and girls now risk losing the ability to plan their families and protect their bodies and their health.

“Women’s reproductive health and rights must be safeguarded at all costs. The services must continue, the supplies must be delivered and the vulnerable must be protected and supported.”

At least 4,093 people were arrested from across London for domestic abuse offences -- nearly 100 a day on an average -- during the coronavirus lockdown in the UK. The period accounted for here is from March 9 till April 19.

The Metropolitan Police has revealed that charges and cautions have increased by 24 per cent since March 9, when people with COVID-19 symptoms were asked to self-isolate, compared to last year.

Domestic incidents have seen a 3 per cent increase since last year and jumped by 9 per cent between March 9 and April 19.

The Met Police gave examples of some of the cases it has dealt with in recent weeks, including one in which police discovered that a man reported by a victim was linked to firearms.

The services must continue, the supplies must be delivered and the vulnerable must be protected and supported.” At least 4,093 people were arrested from across London for domestic abuse offences -- nearly 100 a day on an average -- during the coronavirus lockdown in the UK.

According to her father, Dr. Philip Breen, she had no history of mental illness.

He said that her gruelling work was ''overwhelming'' and took a ''toll on her mental health'' after she contracted the deadly coronavirus from a patient that she was treating.

"She gave what she had, and she’s a casualty of the war in the trenches as far as I’m concerned,'' he said.

However, she went back to work after approximately 10 days because she felt ''guilty about not being at work'', her father added.

"Frontline healthcare professionals and first responders are not immune to the mental or physical effects of the current pandemic," said Charlottesville police chief RaShall Brackney.

The president of the American College of Emergency Physicians, of which Breen was a member, said her death was a tragic reminder of the suffering that many health care workers are going through.

The hospital where she worked described her as "a hero who brought the highest ideals of medicine to the challenging front lines of the emergency department."

According to a video shared from Wuhan last week, government officials were seen picking up N-95 masks from the warehouse of Red Cross.

Out of the 56 million dollars donated to the organisation, it only used seven million dollars.

According to media reports, it was merely following the instructions of Red Tape, the highly bureaucratic setup that is closely tied to the Communist Party.

China's Red Cross is often referred to as ''gongo'' or a government organised NGO.

It has acted as the mouthpiece of the Chinese Communist Party for several years now.

But where the Communist Party goes scandals follow.

In 2008, the donations of the Red Cross tumbled due to a corruption scandal.

According to a report, 80 per cent of the 12 million dollars donated for the earthquake in Sichuan province, was funneled into coffers of the Chinese government and was recorded as an ''extra revenue''.

It was because of this controversy that people stopped donating and calling the organisation as China's Black Cross.

Little seems to have changed more than a decade later. Red Cross failed to utilise donations made to it for Wuhan.

It appears that critical supplies such as the facial masks also went to the government instead of the people.

Red Cross is still serving its master, the Communist Party of China.
