Tech giant&nbsp;Twitter has been fined $100,000 for ''multiple campaign finance violations'' for failing to keep records of&nbsp; advertisements public.

It has been asked to pay Washington state's Public Disclosure Transparency Account&nbsp;the state's Attorney General Bob Ferguson said on Tuesday.

It comes with less than a month to go for the United States election 2020 on November 3.

Interestingly, Twitter&nbsp;earned nearly $200,000 for campaign ads from 2012 through 2019 but failed to follow Washington state disclosure laws, the attorney general's office said in a statement.

According to papers filed at the King County Superior Court, the company failed to maintain the required records for at least 38 Washington candidates and committees that reported paying $194,550 for political advertising on&nbsp;Twitter's platform since 2012.

"Transparency in political advertising is critical to a free and informed electorate," Ferguson said. "Whether you are a local newspaper or a multinational social media platform, you must follow our campaign finance laws."

NAEHCY's Board of Directors were impressed with "your (Kotecha's) ability to transform a singular movement into a replicable programme that now is established in 4 major cities," the statement said.

In her award letter to Kotecha, Jimiyu Evans, president, NAEHCY wrote that, "We are glad to have an advocate like you in the field to meet the needs of children and youth experiencing homelessness ''&nbsp;supporting and encouraging academic success,&nbsp;while implementing programme coordination and community collaboration.''

In his remarks, Kotecha said that the award recognised the impact of HC4A, all the volunteers, donors, sponsors and well-wishers of HC4A!

Hindu Charities for America has programmes for homeless or near-homeless students, provide school supplies at the start of the school year. To date, over 11,000 low income children have been gifted with backpacks at the onset of the school year.

It also awards vocational training scholarships to low-income, nontraditional students. Over 550 students have received vocational training scholarships that have pulled them out of poverty into well-paying and meaningful careers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said his government's 'historic' farm reforms will create opportunities to take farmers to entrepreneurship and added his regime is focused on increasing their income.

Modi was speaking after releasing the autobiography of former Union Minister Balasaheb Vikhe Patil and renaming the Pravara Rural Education Society in Ahmednagar district after the Padma Bhushan recipient, via video conferencing.

Terming the farm reforms as historic, the prime minister said, "Today opportunities are being created to take farming and farmers from the role of annadata (food provider) to entrepreneurship."

"People forgot about income for farmers. But for the first time, this thinking has been changed," he said and listed steps the Centre has taken for the welfare of farmers.

Noting that the COVID-19 threat still persists, Modi called for observing social distancing norms and maintaining effective personal hygiene.

As per the new schedule unveiled by Iqbal showed that the Gujranwala rally would be followed by a rally in Karachi on October 18, Quetta on October 25, Peshawar on November 22, Multan on November 30 and then a rally in Lahore on December 13, said Iqbal.

The schedule announced earlier showed that the first rally would be held on Oct 18 in Quetta.

The change was made at the request of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) which commemorates the day October 18 to pay homage to victims of Karsaz bombing in 2007 that killed scores of people attending a rally in Karachi to welcome Benazir Bhutto.

The PDM leaders also condemned the registration of an FIR against Nawaz Sharif for allegedly defaming the state institutions.

The vaccine, first licensed by Russian authorities for domestic use in August, is currently being tested on 40,000 volunteers in Moscow as part of a late-stage trial known as Phase III.

The trial in the&nbsp;UAE&nbsp;has received regulatory approval from the Gulf state's health ministry, and the process will be supported by local laboratory provider PureHealth, Russia's sovereign wealth fund, responsible for marketing the vaccine abroad, said in a statement.

"The results of the&nbsp;UAE&nbsp;trial will be combined with the results of the of the trial in Russia and other countries," Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) said in the statement, adding that interim results will be published before the end of November.

The first participant in the trial is due to be injected soon. RDIF declined to comment on how many people will receive the jab in the&nbsp;UAE&nbsp;as part of the trial or when it is due to begin.

The&nbsp;UAE's health minister said that the Gulf state's high degree of demographic diversity made it an advantageous location to hold a vaccine trial.

"People from more than 200 nations live and work in the&nbsp;UAE," AbdulRahman bin Mohammed al-Owais said in the same statement.

But skepticism over Anwar's claim remains as no major party has offered a clear declaration of support. One party, which is a member of the ruling coalition, has said some of its lawmakers supported Anwar.

"Should the meeting fail to translate into an actionable outcome, his credibility will be affected and this may push the opposition bloc to find another PM candidate," said Shazwan Mustafa Kamal, senior associate at political consultancy Vriens &amp; Partners.

Muhyiddin, whose seven-month-old administration has survived on a razor-thin parliamentary majority, had earlier dismissed Anwar's claims as a "mere allegation" and told him to prove his majority through a constitutional process.

Leaders in Muhyiddin's Perikatan Nasional coalition issued a statement on Monday declaring full support for Muhyiddin.

King Al-Sultan Abdullah plays a largely ceremonial role but he can appoint a prime minister who in his view is likely to command a majority, so Anwar will need to convince him he has such backing.

The king could also dissolve parliament and trigger elections on the premier's advice.

It was not clear if an outcome would be known on Tuesday.

Late Monday, for the second night in a row, Chinese state television aired a programme showing a Taiwanese academic called Cheng Yu-chin, who&nbsp;had previously taught in the Czech Republic and was arrested in China in April of last year.

Earlier, it had shown a video&nbsp;showing a Taiwanese citizen Morrison Lee, confessing to visiting Hong Kong to support anti-government protesters.

However both Cho and the DPP said Cheng had never worked for him. Cho, in a statement on his Facebook page, said he didn't even know Cheng.

Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council said in a separate statement that neither they nor the Straits Exchange Foundation, a semi-official body that handles some relations with China, had been approached by any family members to request help.

The council condemned China for putting Cheng on television to make a confession, and said China was playing politics by trying to frame people for spying.
