As per NIH, understanding how SARS-CoV-2 might cause brain damage may aid in the development of Covid patients who continue to experience the neurological symptoms.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Avinda Nath, the author of paper and MD clinical director at NINDS said, "We had previously shown blood vessel damage and inflammation in patients'&nbsp;brains at autopsy, but we didn`t understand the cause of the damage. I think in this paper we`ve gained important insight into the cascade of events. "&nbsp;</p>

Some COVID patients experience bleeding and blood clots as a result, which can raise their risk of stroke. Scientists discovered immune complex deposits in the brains of COVID patients for the first time when antibodies bind antigens found on the surface of endothelial cells. Such immune complexes cause inflammation, which harms the tissues. Using immunohistochemistry, the scientists found leaky blood vessels, prior to the study.</p>

<p>Dr Nath said, "Once leakage occurs, immune cells such as macrophages may come to repair the damage, setting up inflammation.&nbsp;This, in turn, causes damage to neurons."</p>

These genes are related to metabolism, DNA damage, and oxidative stress. These findings collectively shed light on the immunological reaction that causes brain damage after the COVID-19 infection.</p>

As the embryos contain incorrect number of chromosomes many deaths are caused directly because of this. The fertilised eggs should have 46 chromosomes, 23 each from mother and father.</p>

<p>Professor Hurst said, “Very many embryos have the wrong number of chromosomes, often 45 or 47, and nearly all of these die in the womb. Even in cases like Down syndrome with three copies of chromosome 21, about 80 per cent sadly will not make it to term." The professor explains, “This first step of making eggs is odd. One chromosome of a pair will go to the egg the other will be destroyed. But if a chromosome `knows` it is going to be destroyed it has nothing to lose, so to speak. Remarkable recent molecular evidence has found that when some chromosomes detect that they are about to be destroyed during this first step, they change what they do to prevent being destroyed, potentially causing chromosome loss or gain, and the death of the embryo." If the death of an embryo would benefit the other children of that mother, as the selfish chromosomes will frequently be in the siblings and will get extra nourishment.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Humans also only have one child at a time and the death of an early embryo allows the mother to quickly begin another pregnancy- having no idea her egg has been fertilised.&nbsp;</p>

COVID-19: US researchers develop inhalable vaccine stable at room temperature

<p>Zimbabwe’s central bank said it would start selling gold coins this month as a store of value to tame runaway inflation, which has considerably weakened the local currency.</p>

<p>The central bank governor John Mangudya said in a statement on Monday that the coins will be available for sale from July 25 in local currency, US dollars, and other foreign currencies at a price based on the prevailing international price of gold and the cost of production.</p>

<p>The "Mosi-oa-tunya" coin, named after Victoria falls, can be converted into cash and be traded locally and internationally, the central bank said.</p>

Zimbabwe to introduce gold coins as local currency tumbles

<p>US law enforcement agencies on Tuesday apprehended a suspect named Robert Crimo III in connection with the shooting on July 4th in Highland Park, a Chicago suburb, which killed six people and injured more than 36 others, ranging in age from 8 to 85. The investigating officers have not confirmed the shooter’s motive. Christopher Covelli, a spokesperson for the Lake County serious crime taskforce, claimed that the shooter opened fire with a "high-powered weapon."
