It was Suryakumar Yadav's unbeaten 68 that gave Mumbai Indians a respectable total of 151 for 6 but that was never going to be enough as young Anuj Rawat (66 off 47 balls) struck his maiden IPL fifty, anchoring the team to the target in just 18.3 overs.

He had two fifty plus partnerships -- 50 for opening stand with skipper Faf du Plessis (16) and 80 with former skipper and his West Delhi Cricket Academy senior Virat Kohli (48 off 36 balls) for the second wicket to seal the issue.

Rawat scored at a decent strike-rate if not rollicking one and had two fours and six maximums in his kitty.

Mumbai Indians are currently last in the table of 10 teams because of inferior net run-rate compared to CSK but the road towards redemption is becoming difficult with every passing match.

“I have had the pleasure of playing with Shreyas for quite a few years now starting with Delhi. His captaincy style is extremely cool, calm and collected. He also has a lot of experience considering his age. So, he has done a fantastic job and I am sure he will continue to grow,” he said.&nbsp;

“As a team, we have all bases covered. There is no reason why we cannot win the IPL this year.”&nbsp;

Billings started the season as a specialist middle order batsman for KKR with Sheldon Jackson keeping wickets. But the change in team composition meant that KKR went with an extra fast bowling option and that meant that Billings had to take over the wicket-keeping role for the team.&nbsp;

“I have kind of gotten used to both keeping wickets and being an outfield player. I have had to field a lot for England. I like fielding on the ground but I also like to keep wickets specially against mystery spinners like Varun and Narine,” Billings explained when asked about his preferred role.&nbsp;

“It is very hard to keep against them. But it takes a bit of practice and concentration but I think that makes it even more enjoyable as you are feeling the game every single ball,” he further explained.&nbsp;

Billings has been contributing regularly with his bat for KKR and he is currently the second top scorer in the competition for his team. The England cricketer has been stitching together valuable partnerships in the middle overs and he was on the other end of the crease as West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell slammed 70 off just 31 deliveries to guide KKR to victory over Punjab Kings.&nbsp;

Custodian of cricket laws, the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), has decided to move the law relating to run-outs at non-striker's end from "unfair play" section besides completely banning the use of saliva to shine the ball in amendments to its 2022 code that will come into effect in October.

Run-outs at non-striker's end have often triggered heated debates on spirit of the game and several players like India's premier off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin have advocated for it as a fair mode of dismissal.

"Law 41.16 -&nbsp;running out the non-striker -&nbsp;has been moved from Law 41 (Unfair play) to Law 38 (Run out). The wording of the Law remains the same," the MCC said in a media statement late on Tuesday.

The MCC also said that using saliva to shine the ball would be treated as an unfair practice. Saliva application was barred by the ICC in view of the COVID-19 pandemic and MCC said its research found that applying saliva had no impact on the ball's movement.

"MCC's research found that this had little or no impact on the amount of swing the bowlers were getting. Players were using sweat to polish the ball, and this was equally effective," it said.

"The new Laws will not permit the use of saliva on the ball, which also removes any grey areas of fielders eating sugary sweets to alter their saliva to apply to the ball. Using saliva will be treated the same way as any other unfair methods of changing the condition of the ball," it asserted.

The changes in the code, which first came into existence in 2017, were suggested by MCC Laws sub-committee "which were subsequently approved at the Club's Main Committee meeting last week."

The amendments will not come into force until October.

"...The 2022 Code makes some rather bigger changes, from the way we talk about cricket to the way it's played," Fraser Stewart, MCC Laws Manager, said.

"It is important that we announce these changes now as part of the Club's global commitment to the game, giving officials from all over the world the chance to learn under the new Code ahead of the Laws coming into force in October."

The replacement players will be treated "as if they were the player they replaced, inheriting any sanctions or dismissals that player has done in that match."

When a batter is out caught, the "new batter shall come in at the end the striker was at, i.E. To face the next ball (unless it is the end of an over)." 
 
Law 20.4.2.12 -&nbsp;Dead ball 
 
The amendment suggests that the the calling of Dead ball takes into account "if either side is disadvantaged by a person, animal or other object within the field of play."

"From a pitch invader to a dog running onto the field, sometimes there is outside interference,&nbsp;if this is the case, and it has a material impact on the game, the umpires will call and signal Dead ball." 
 
Law 21.4 -&nbsp;Bowler throwing at striker's end before delivery 
 
"If a bowler throws the ball in an attempt to run out the striker before entering their delivery stride, it will now be Dead ball. This is an extremely rare scenario, which has until now been called as a No ball."

The amendment takes into account movement of a batter before the ball is bowled.

"It was felt unfair that a delivery might be called 'Wide' if it passes where the batter had stood as the bowler entered his/her delivery stride.
