7 Drinks Which Decrease High Cholesterol Levels

Green Tea contains catechins and other antioxidant compounds which help in decreasing total and LDL cholesterol levels.

Tomatoes are filled with a substance called lycopene which helps in lowering increased cholestrol.

Oat is filled with beta-glucans which helps in forming a gel-like structure in the intestines and hence, reduces the absorption of cholestrol.

Plant-based milk like almond milk contains polyunsaturated fatty acids which help in lowering LDL cholesterol levels.

The berries are filled with antioxidants and fibre. A specific antioxidant, known as anthocyanins, is also found in the berries which helps in lowering cholesterol.

Cocoa is filled with an antioxidant called flavanol which help in decreasing bad cholesterol levels in the body.

The fibre in spinach helps in lowering the absorption of cholesterol in the body which eventually helps in lowering cholesterol levels.

In a new study, scientists have found that the supermassive black hole Sagittarius A*, which is located at the centre of our galaxy, has been spinning rapidly as well as altering space-time around it. NASA on its social media shared another marvel of space, the 'Hidden galaxy', also known as the spiral galaxy. The galaxy, which is located nearly 11 million light-years away from Earth, was captured using the Hubble telescope. The European Space Agency's Euclid mission captured the stunning image of the galaxy. "The spiral galaxy above also known as the "Hidden Galaxy," is the first of five images released from the Euclid mission," wrote NASA, in the caption on the social media platform Instagram. Located about 11 million light-years from Earth, it lies behind a crowd of dust in the Milky Way. Euclid is able to peek through the dust to study it by using a near-infrared instrument. "Euclid’s first images mark the beginning of a new era of studying dark matter and dark energy,” said Mike Seiffert, Euclid project scientist at @NASAJPL. "NASA teams will join Euclid scientists to study the dark energy, dark matter and galaxy evolution found in space,” the caption read. Negi, who had emerged as a strong leader and helped the other 40 workers to stay calm, said that since he is the senior-most, he will be the last one to step out.

Negi was born 260 km away in Pauri Garhwal district and unfortunately was trapped in the the collapsed tunnel.

In the 400 hours spent by the workers nearly 200 feet inside the ground, Negi taught yoga and meditation to his colleagues to help them stay mentally and physically active, and ensured that they were rescued safely by committing that he would be the last to come out.

"I am senior-most... I will be the last to come out...', this is what he told me," said his relieved and happy brother Jaymal Singh Negi, while speaking to NDTV, hours after 41 men were taken out from the tunnel and provided extensive medical check-ups for ensuring that they have no injuries or illness.

It is now being said that Gabbar Negi's efforts have helped all 41 survive the disaster with few injuries and keep the catastrophic situation under control.
