Iran said on Sunday that it would hold nuclear talks in the coming days with the three European countries that initiated a censure resolution against it adopted by the UN's atomic watchdog.

Foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said the meeting of the deputy foreign ministers of Iran, France, Germany and the United Kingdom would take place on Friday, without specifying a venue.

"A range of regional and international issues and topics, including the issues of Palestine and Lebanon, as well as the nuclear issue, will be discussed," the spokesman said in a foreign ministry statement.

On Thursday, the 35-nation board of governors of the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) adopted a resolution denouncing Iran for what it called a 'lack of co-operation'.

The move came as tensions ran high over Iran's atomic programme, which critics fear is aimed at developing a nuclear weapon, something Tehran has repeatedly denied.

It also came after IAEA head Rafael Grossi returned from a trip to Tehran, where he appeared to have made headway.

During the visit, Iran agreed to an IAEA demand to cap its sensitive stock of near weapons-grade uranium enriched up to 60 per cent purity.

In response to the resolution, Iran announced it was launching a "series of new and advanced centrifuges".

Tehran has since 2021 decreased its cooperation with the IAEA by deactivating surveillance devices monitoring the nuclear programme and barring UN inspectors.

At the same time, it has increased its stockpiles of enriched uranium and the level of enrichment to 60 per cent.

A mysterious black rock has been found by scientists on Mars which suggested that the Red Planet had hot springs billions of years ago.

In new research, scientists have found new evidence which has hinted at the existence of water on the planet more than four billion years ago, which has hinted at the planet being habitable.

A sample of the meteorite was examined by academics from Curtin University in Australia, and while looking at a grain of the black crystal rock called zicron, the experts were able to find evidence that hinted at the planet being hospitable long ago.

Fingerprints on water of grain?

During the study of the rock, scientists found 'fingerprints' on the water of the grain, which hinted at the existence of hot water on the Red Planet.

It is believed to have existed like hydrothermal springs, which are heated by magma that flows under the crust of the planet.

As per the experts, hot springs play an important role in life which evolves on Earth. The evidence of the existence of such springs suggests that the Red Planet may have possessed the ability to support ancient life.

Speaking to The Sun, the study's co-author, Dr Aaron Cavosie, said that nano-scale geochemistry was used for finding the evidence of hot water on the planet.

"Hydrothermal systems were essential for the development of life on Earth, and our findings suggest Mars also had water, a key ingredient for habitable environments, during the earliest history of crust formation," said Dr Cavosie while speaking to the publication.

"Through nano-scale imaging and spectroscopy, the team identified element patterns in this unique zircon, including iron, aluminium, yttrium and sodium," he added.

"These elements were added as the zircon formed 4.45 billion years ago, suggesting water was present during early Martian magmatic activity. This new study takes us a step further in understanding early Mars, by way of identifying tell-tale signs of water-rich fluids from when the grain formed, providing geochemical markers of water in the oldest known Martian crust," Dr Cavosie further stated.

This discovery comes after the Mars Rover of NASA found the first "possible" signs of the existence of life on the planet.

Japan's teenage girls have been getting involved in a new but bizarre make-up trend in which hot melt glue is used to create tear droplets on the face, the South China Morning Post reported.

The trend is being criticised for its absurdity in both China and Japan and has been called "ridiculous" because of its resemblance to snot and sperm.

As reported by the Japanese show Ninosan, the style is called “3D teardrop make-up” and has recently become very popular among secondary school girls in Japan.

What is the tear-drop make-up?

The make-up involves using hot melt glue to create shapes of teardrops which stick to the face and give the appearance of tears rolling down the cheeks.

In this makeup process, hot glue is extruded on a smooth surface like a plastic sheet and not applied directly to the skin.

After the glue cools down and solidifies, it is removed carefully, and fake eyelash glue is used to attach it to the face.

Japanese firm Rika Shiiki, which promotes such products, said that the trend is prevalent among secondary school girls in Japan. The trend has become so popular in Japan that it has led to a shortage of hot melt glue in a few areas.

The manufacturers of hot melt glue have issued a warning against it being used for cosmetic purposes because the chemical substance can lead to allergic reactions or skin irritation.

Make-up trend faces backlash

The trend faced a lot of criticism from Japanese as well as Chinese people who called it "ridiculous" and "bizarre" after the Chinese media shared it.

“Wait, doesn’t this hot glue tear makeup look suspiciously like sperm?,” said one Japanese viewer.

“Seriously? Are secondary school girls really into this kind of inappropriate trend now?” wrote another.

“This looks more like snot than tears. It’s disgusting, not cute at all," third commentator.

Martin said that she has not contacted either of the two children and does not know if they are aware of her.

US President-elect Donald Trump and his administration are set to come into power for the second time in 2025 and this change in power has rattled not just the global but also the domestic market and left Indian investors jittery over what's next. With Trump coming to power, India is expected to witness a shift in the foreign direct investments (FDI) inflows while some speculate that pharmaceutical companies are likely to benefit from Trump 2.0. Explaining how Trump's new administration can impact the Indian market, Viram Shah, Co-founder & CEO, Vested Finance told WION, "The focus will likely be on potential shifts in US trade policy. Increased tariffs on Chinese goods, for example, could lead to disruptions in global supply chains, affecting companies in India that rely on imports for manufacturing." "Moreover, the possibility of a stronger US dollar due to protectionist measures could make US assets more attractive, potentially leading to capital outflows from emerging markets like India," Shah added. So, how can Indian investors plan better for a more secure financial future? This column of Money-Wise tried to understand from a market expert what should be the main focus of investors and what should they be aware of when planning their investments. Watch: US Elections: Stocks Making The Biggest Moves | 'Trump Trades' See-Saw On Voting Day What can Indian investors do? Expert Viram Shah, Co-founder & CEO of Vested Finance, explains how Indian investors should strategise Remain focused on long-term goals rather than reacting impulsively to short-term fluctuations. A prudent approach to portfolio diversification and risk management will be vital. Balance exposure to domestic assets with careful consideration of global trends. Sectors that benefit from global trade and a weaker rupee might offer investment opportunities, while those that depend on global stability could face challenges. Sectors like IT and pharmaceuticals, which are significant exporters to the US, might benefit from a weaker rupee if the US dollar strengthens as expected. If inflation persists and Trump’s administration continues to push for policies that support the economy at home, the Federal Reserve may hike rates to prevent overheating. This shift could cause bond yields in the US to climb, making US Treasury bonds more attractive to global investors. There is also the possibility of reduced foreign investment in Indian equities, as capital flows move towards the safer returns offered by US bonds.
