The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), in an investigation, discovered that the cargo ship which led to the tragic Baltimore Bridge collapse was filled with hazardous materials and also had equipment issues.

It was revealed by NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy that the cargo ship had 56 containers of hazardous materials aboard. "We found 56 containers aboard containing hazardous materials, including corrosives, flammables, and lithium-ion batteries," Homendy said.

During the collision, some of these corrosive-filled containers were breached and led to leaks into the Patapsco River. Also, during&nbsp;the inspection conducted a concerning flaw was found in the ship’s equipment.

There was a faulty monitor gauge in the vessel for fuel pressure which was looked into before setting sail.&nbsp;

"As far as the engine goes, we were not informed of any problems with the vessel," said Coast Guard Rear Admiral Shannon Gilreath, during a news conference.

Pope Francis cancelled at the last minute his attendance at the Good Friday procession at Rome's Colosseum, in what the Vatican described as a bid "to preserve his health" ahead of more Easter week engagements.

Francis' agenda for the next two days consists of an Easter Vigil service on Saturday evening and an Easter Mass and the twice-annual "Urbi et Orbi" (to the city and world) message and blessing on Sunday morning.

The 87-year-old's sudden no show is likely to renew concerns about his declining strength. Francis uses a cane or a wheelchair to move around due to a knee ailment, and suffers from repeated bouts of bronchitis and influenza.

Good Friday leads on Sunday to Easter, the most important and joyous date in the Church's liturgical calendar - commemorating the day Christians believe Jesus rose from the dead.

The Vatican announced the pope's absence from the "Via Crucis" (Way of the Cross) procession just as it was about to start, saying in a statement he would follow it remotely from his Vatican residence.

Francis, who had looked fitter this week after weeks in which he struggled to speak in public and cancelled some meetings, also missed the procession last year, after recovering from a four-day hospital stay for bronchitis.

<h2>Focus on women</h2>

The Via Crucis at the Colosseum is a re-enactment of Jesus' death by crucifixion, in which participants take turns in holding the cross as they walk in and around the ancient Roman arena, stopping to pray and hear meditations.

Nuns, priests, a hermit, charity workers, migrants and disabled people were among those who took part in the service, held in a landmark monument believed to have been a place of martyrdom for early Christians.

Francis personally wrote the meditations for this year, a first in his 11-year papacy. They included praises for meekness and forgiveness in response to acts of evil, and prayers for persecuted Christians and war victims.

The pope, who has called for the Church to become less male-dominated, also hailed the women who helped Jesus while he carried the cross, and pleaded for "those (women) who in our own day are exploited and endure injustice and indignity".

In another sign of his focus on women, Francis on Thursday performed the foot-washing ritual, which recalls Jesus' gesture of humility to his apostles at the Last Supper, in a women's prison in Rome.

Earlier on Friday, the pope joined cardinals and bishops for the Passion of the Lord service in St Peter's Basilica, which featured chants in Latin recounting events from Jesus' arrest to his burial.

In previous years, Francis would start the service prostrating himself on the floor of the basilica, but his frail state no longer allows him to do so. Instead, he arrived in a wheelchair and prayed silently in front of the main altar.

Tyres have specific air pressure and optimal pressure must be maintained on all the tyres so that safety, fuel economy and braking can be enhanced.

The car tyres do not require nitrogen. Also, one should fill the air in dry weather so that moisture does not make the air heavy and hence the tyres too heavy.

Drivers should ensure that the tyres are rotated in the way specified by the manufacturer. This saves the tyre from wear and tear and expands its lifespan.

4. Do Not Turn Tyres When Car Is Not Moving

One should not turn the tyres when the car is stationary and not moving.

While filling the air in the tyres, one should be careful about the quantity of air inside the tyres and avoid overfilling them.

During driving, one should never brake or accelerate too hard since that puts direct pressure on the tyres and they can lose their rubber quality at a faster speed.

It is important to keep a check on the tread of your tyres and ensure that they are fine.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held an engaging discussion with Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates on various issues ranging from climate change mitigation, women's empowerment and Artificial Intelligence (AI). They spoke about sustainability, social empowerment on the global stage and the convergence of technology. Bill Gates, the billionaire co-founder of Microsoft, appreciated the technological advancements of India and emphasised the pivotal role of the country in AI innovation. During the conversation, Gates appreciated the ability of Indians to adopt new technology and also lead the way for the world. The prime minister asked the Microsoft head to take a selfie with the help of the photo booth on PM's Namo App. Speaking about the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in today's world, PM Modi said, "Historically, during the first and second industrial revolutions we lagged behind because we were a colony. Now, in the midst of a fourth industrial revolution, the digital element is at its core. I am confident that India will gain a lot in this." Also Read: Bill Gates meets PM Modi in India, talks about AI for 'public good' and 'innovation' "AI is very important. Sometimes, I jokingly say that in our country, we call our mother 'Aai'. Now I say that when a child is born, he says 'Aai' as well as AI as children have become so advanced," he added. An insightful interaction with @BillGates. Do watch! https://t.co/wEhi5Ki24t — Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) March 29, 2024 × The prime minister informed Bill Gates how the government utilised AI during the G20 Summit in 2023. He further spoke about how AI had translated his Hindi speech into Tamil during the recent Kashi Tamil Sangamam event. Using AI as magic tool will lead to grave injustice: PM Modi Speaking about the misuse of AI and the issue of deepfake, PM said, "If we use AI as a magic tool, it will perhaps lead to a grave injustice. If AI is relied on out of laziness...then it is the wrong path. I should have a competition with ChatGPT and strive to go ahead of AI." Meanwhile, Bill Gates said, "These are early days in AI...It will do things that you think are hard and then it will fail to something which you think is easy. It seems like AI is a huge opportunity but there are a few challenges that come with it." The prime minister suggested that clear watermarks on the AI-generated content should be started. "If such a good thing (AI) is given to someone without proper training, it is likely to be misused...I suggested that we should start with clear watermarks on AI-generated content. So that nobody is misguided...In a democratic country like India, anybody can use deepfake...It's crucial to acknowledge that deepfake content is AI-generated...We need to think about some dos and don'ts," said the prime minister. PM introduces Bill Gates to 'Namo Drone Didi' scheme While speaking about the digital revolution in India, PM Modi introduced the 'Namo Drone Didi' scheme to Bill Gates. "Digital public infrastructure is a major requirement in itself...Women are more open to adopting new technology in India...I have started the 'Namo Drone Didi' scheme...This is going on very successfully. I interact with them these days, they are delighted," said PM Modi. Thousands of relief workers with huge crane ships moved towards Baltimore in the United States on Thursday (Mar 28) &nbsp;to carry out a massive cleanup, which was deemed as 'highly dangerous' and 'unprecedented' by some experts.&nbsp;

The clean-up was initiated after efforts to find dead bodies of people who went missing were stopped. The officials had recovered two construction workers' dead bodies from a submerged truck and four people remain missing or are presumed to be dead.

However, the divers are no longer able to operate near the mangled bridge debris which has encased submerged vehicles.

The Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore collapsed on Tuesday morning (Mar 26) after being hit by a massive cargo ship.

Several floating cranes were deployed by the US Navy, including one which can lift 1,000 tonnes. Meanwhile, the US Army Corps of Engineers said that they will send more than 1,100 engineering specialists as well as experts to start removing the debris which has crippled the Port of Baltimore.

<h2>Biden sanctions $60 million, Governor says 'very long road ahead'</h2>

Maryland Governor Wes Moore on Thursday (Mar 28) said it is a “very long road ahead" as the Biden administration sanctioned a federal aid of $60 million after the deadly collapse.

Moore said that “the best minds in the world" have been making plans to clear the debris and shift the cargo ship which had rammed into the bridge. "Government is working hand in hand with industry to investigate the area, including the wreck, and remove the ship," the governor said.

“This work is not going to take hours. This work is not going to take days. This work is not going to take weeks. We have a very long road ahead of us," Moore added.&nbsp;

<h2>A three-step process to clean up debris</h2>

According to the officials, a three-step effort will be made to remove the debris. The teams will first remove the massive steel trusses from the shipping channel to start one-way traffic into and out of the port again.&nbsp;

Second, the pieces of the bridge, which are draped across the 985-foot Dali, will be lifted and moved. After this, they will remove concrete and steel which is present on the river bed.&nbsp;

It is still unclear how long will the process take. However, as per the experts, the cleanup is likely to pose a monumental challenge because of frigid waters in which divers will have to cut steel beams.

Chocolate is arguably the most popular and loved sweet in the entire world. So everyone knows and is most likely to have tasted chocolate once in their lifetime. However, those who are fans of hot pepper are also likely to have an idea of habanero - which is a type of chilli and is known for its spiciness.&nbsp;

But you probably may not&nbsp;have heard of Chocolate Habanero.

What exactly is Chocolate Habanero?

No, it is not a line of spicy candies.

To the unversed, here's all about the Chocolate Habanero which appears like chocolate but tastes like habanero.

<h2>Understanding Chocolate Habanero</h2>

The Chocolate Habanero pepper is a cultivar of the habanero peppers which is bred selectively to ensure that heavier, larger and spicier fruit is produced.

Chocolate Habanero is like the Red Savina habanero which is filled with serious punch of spiciness. It is estimated to contain 425,000 to 577,000 Scoville heat units.

Chocolate Habanero pepper is spicier than the Red Savina and has unique earthy and smoky undertones which perfectly blend with the habanero sweetness.&nbsp;

<h2>What does Chocolate Habanero taste like?</h2>

Generally, the chocolate peppers have the flavours of their original strains but they also have additional earthy flavours which are not likely to be present in the parent peppers.

The flavours of Chocolate Habanero pepper are very similar to regular Habanero peppers which are sweet and full of flavours. They are also likely to have a smoky flavour which is missing from regular Habaneros.&nbsp;

The reason for these new flavours can be the pepper's continuous crossbreeding and long maturity periods which make them riper than others.

The chocolate pepper can be categorised into two types on the basis of the flavours: sweet chocolate peppers and hot chocolate peppers.

Sweet chocolate peppers do not contain much heat like other chocolate peppers. However, they are filled with fruity and treacly flavours which makes them addictive.

Although some people prefer sweetness over the heat in the chocolate peppers, others choose the face-melting sensation which is present in the hot chocolate peppers.

This kind of chocolate pepper appears more dried up and reflects its real hotness.

Archaeologists recovered ancient DNA from the remains of a sixth-century Chinese emperor who was a ruler during the dark ages of the country and reconstructed the face of the king.

Emperor Wu ruled a part of the Northern Zhou dynasty in China. He is credited to have carried out the unification of ancient China's northern part during a chaotic period.

In 1996, archaeologists discovered a tomb in northwestern China. In a study which was published in the journal Current Biology on Thursday (Mar 28), the researchers studied the genetic material retrieved from his remains, which included an almost complete skull.

The archaeologists looked into the information to understand the monarch's appearance, health and ancestry.

According to the archaeologists, the emperor was part of a little-studied nomadic group known as the Xianbei and stayed in the area which today is a part of northern and northeastern China and Mongolia.

The experts analysed the genome sequenced from the DNA which suggested that Wu had black hair, brown eyes,&nbsp;and dark skin colour.

In a press release, study co-author and an associate professor at Fudan University in Shanghai Shaoqing Wen said, “Some scholars said the Xianbei had ‘exotic’ looks, such as thick beard, high nose bridge, and yellow hair."

“Our analysis shows Emperor Wu had typical East or Northeast Asian facial characteristics," he added.

<h2>Archaeologists hope to decode king's cause of death</h2>

The experts have been hoping that the ancient DNA may also reveal the cause of the death of King Wu. As per the study, he died suddenly at age 36.

If his demise is explained, it will help historians rework historical texts around either illness or deliberate poisoning.

The team failed to discover any definitive evidence of the reason for his death. The researchers, however, said that they found a genetic susceptibility to stroke.

Ancient DNA techniques are being increasingly applied by archaeologists to find information regarding bones, teeth, artefacts and cave dirt.

The genetic information derived from the remains - which included the skull of Wu - was used by the team to imagine how he appeared and created a 3D facial reconstruction of the king.

Tobias Houlton, a lecturer in craniofacial identification and forensic imaging at the University of Dundee&nbsp;said, “The study … offers intriguing insights into the historical figure of Emperor Wu, with the facial approximation presented appearing convincingly realistic."

“(Skin, hair and eye) colour details are notably not possible to predict from skeletal remains alone, making genetic analysis an insightful tool," he added while speaking to CNN.

Scientists, in a new experiment, have found that if the living organisms are hosted by Venus in its toxic clouds, they won't be deprived of amino acids, which is an&nbsp;important building block&nbsp;of life.

Venus, which is a "twin planet" of Earth, has a high temperature which goes beyond hundreds of degrees and is covered by clouds of corrosive sulfuric acid. This acid is a colourless, carcinogenic liquid which erodes the teeth, irritates our eyes, throats and nose and dissolves metals.

Even though the rocky planet is not seen as a habitable system for living organisms, scientists suggest that if any life may have emerged in the hellish environment of Venus, it can be found wafting in its noxious clouds.&nbsp;

These clouds have a cooler temperature compared to the surface of the planet and can support some types of extreme lifeforms.&nbsp;

In the new experiment, which was carried out on those lines by researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), it was found that there was the existence of 19 amino acids for at least a month in a sulfuric acid solution, which included some water. &nbsp;

The sulfuric acid concentration of the solution was similar to the contents in Venusian clouds. In the results, it was found that sulfuric acid is not universally hostile to organic chemistry which is present on the Earth. It also suggested that Venusian clouds can host at least some of these complex molecules.&nbsp;

In a statement, Sara Seager, an astrophysicist and planetary scientist at MIT and co-author of the new study said, "It doesn't mean that life there will be the same as here. In fact, we know it can't be."

"But this work advances the notion that Venus' clouds could support complex chemicals needed for life," he added.

MIT's Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences (EAPS) study co-author Janusz Petkowski said, "People have this perception that concentrated sulfuric acid is an extremely aggressive solvent that will chop everything to pieces. But we are finding this is not necessarily true."&nbsp;

The experiment came to an end four weeks ago because there were no further signs of activity.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts' undergraduate student Maxwell Seager, who was leading the study, said, "Just showing that this backbone is stable in sulfuric acid doesn't mean there is life on Venus. But if we had shown that this backbone was compromised, then there would be no chance of life as we know it."&nbsp;
