<p>A boat with around 400 migrants stuck in the middle of nowhere between Malta and Libya is slowly sinking. Alarm Phone, a website that helps refugees in need of rescue informed about the incident on Twitter saying it had received a call from the boat, late in the night.</p>

<p>Alarm Phone said the boat had run out of fuel and migrants were using buckets to throw out the water. It added that the people on board were panicking after the captain left the ship while several required medical attention, including a pregnant woman.</p>

<h2><strong>Previous instances</strong></h2>

<p>Notably, this is not the first instance when North African migrants attempting to cross the Mediterranean to enter Europe have faced such a situation. On Saturday, At least 20 migrants have gone missing off the coast of Tunisia, as they tried to cross the treacherous Mediterranean to Italy.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Although the coast guard managed to rescue 17 others from the same boat off the southern city of Sfax, the others were still untraceable. Of the 17 saved, two are in critical condition, said Sfax court judge Faouzi Masmousdi.</p>

<p>Earlier this week, 440 migrants were rescued from an overcrowded fishing boat in the international waters off Malta. The complex operation to rescue the migrants took over 11 hours.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Donald Trump is in serious trouble from his former vice president Mike Pence's testimony in the Department of Justice (DOJ) investigation, claims ex-federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He added that Pence's not appealing could be a 'real danger zone for Donald Trump'.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As Kirschner made the tall claims, Trump's spokespersons dubbed him a conspiracy theorist saying, "Glenn is a notorious trafficker of wild conspiracy theories and dubious legal analysis. I would expect nothing more from a clout-chasing MSNBC contributor who has been shunned by the legal community at large."</p>

<p>While Kirschner's version would only be tested after Pence's testimony, there have been signs that the former Trump ally may open up a front in the court.</p>

<p>According to&nbsp;Marseille Mayor Benoit Payan, over 100 firefighters were on the spot, battling the blaze,&nbsp;and warned there may be fatalities involved.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"We’re&nbsp;trying to drown the fire while preserving the lives of eventual victims under the rubble. Firefighters are gauging minute by minute the best way to put out the fire. We have to be prepared to have fatalities in this terrible tragedy," said Payan.</p>

<p>Notably, Megapacks are Tesla's lithium-ion batteries, used for battery-storage power stations. It already has a factory producing Megapacks in Lathrop, California - churning out as many as 10,000 Megapacks a year.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to reports, the new factory will also produce 10,000 Megapack units every year, equal to around 40 GWh of energy storage which will be sold worldwide.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Tesla already has an electric vehicle manufacturing facility in the city named Tesla gigafactory which was established in 2019. It is the carmaker's largest gigafactory outside the US.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Abbott took to Twitter to post a message wherein he said Sgt.&nbsp;Daniel Perry was acting in self-defence when the incident took place. Perry had used his .357 revolver to pump five shots into 28-year-old Garrett Foster who was attending the Austin demonstration.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Texas has one of the strongest ‘Stand Your Ground’ laws of self-defence that cannot be nullified by a jury or a progressive District Attorney,” wrote Abbott.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Republican leader said he is requesting the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles for an expedited review of Perry. Abbott can only pardon a subject if the board recommends it. However, since the members of the board have been picked by Abbott, it looks certain that Perry will receive his pardon, said the experts.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“I have made that request and instructed the board to expedite its review. I look forward to approving the board’s pardon recommendation as soon as it hits my desk.”</p>

<p>Perry claimed that he fired at Foster after he pointed an AK-47 towards him. The prosecutors, however, argued that witnesses on the spot said Foster never raised the weapon and that he was pushing his fiancée’s wheelchair.</p>

<p>Gershkovich was arrested by FSB last month in the Urals city of Yekaterinburg. Reportedly, the journalist's driver had dropped him off at a restaurant and two hours later his phone was found switched off. <p>After the controversy snowballed, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken called up his Russian counterpart&nbsp;Sergei Lavrov and demanded the immediate release of&nbsp;Gershkovich.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Blinken took to his Twitter account to share the update. He informed that alongside Gershkovich, Washington also batted for the release of US citizen Paul Whelan.&nbsp;</p>

The Dallas-based IT company Arthur Grand Technologies posted a job offer for a business analyst in its Salesforce and insurance claims team on the job portal Indeed. The company had a peculiar demand for the desired candidates and that they needed to be 'white'.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Growing insecurity and conflict means vulnerability is increasing in the region, and it is getting harder to help communities in isolated areas," said UNICEF Regional Director for West and Central Africa, Marie-Pierre Poirie.&nbsp;</p>

<p>With jihadist violence rising in Burkina Faso, the US is preparing to send long-term assistance to neighbouring countries of&nbsp;Ivory Coast, Benin and Togo. Washington believes that violence could spill into coastal West Africa which could destabilise the region.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A truck crashed into pedestrians and motorcycle taxis near western Kenya's border with Tanzania, killing at least 10 people and injuring 10 others Saturday, authorities said.</p>

<p>A local police commander said the crash in the town of Migori happened along a major highway when the driver lost control of the brakes.</p>

<p>An operation to free people trapped under the truck was underway, and there were fears the deal toll might rise, Migori county commander Mark Wanjala said.</p>

<p>Two more people were reported to have been knocked across a bridge and into a river, but an attempt to rescue them had not started, Wanjala said.</p>

A local police commander said the crash in the town of Migori happened along a major highway when the driver lost control of the brakes. An operation to free people trapped under the truck was underway, and there were fears the deal toll might rise, Migori county commander Mark Wanjala said. Two more people were reported to have been knocked across a bridge and into a river, but an attempt to rescue them had not started, Wanjala said. The truck was carrying bags of rice toward the Isebania border town into neighbouring Tanzania. Videos of people looting the rice while people remained trapped under the track appeared on social media.
