<p>Salameh was known to be a close associate of Mohammed Deif, the head of Hamas's military wing who Israel says is one of the masterminds behind the October 7 massacre in southern Israel and&nbsp;was also targeted in the airstrikes on Saturday.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The US Secret Service (SS), responsible for the security of former president Donald Trump has stated that "multiple shots" were fired towards the Republican leader from an elevated position outside the rally venue.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Trump was attacked during a rally in Butler County in Pennsylvania on Saturday (Jul 13),&nbsp;surrounded by thousands of supporters.&nbsp;The 78-year-old former president was rushed off stage with blood smeared across his face after the shooting.</p>

<p>"During former President Trump's campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on the evening of July 13th at approximately 6:15 p.m., a suspected shooter fired multiple shots toward the stage from an elevated position outside of the rally venue," said the Secret Service.&nbsp;</p>

<p>US Secret Service personnel reportedly 'neutralised' the shooter, who is now deceased. His identity remains unknown at this stage.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"US Secret Service quickly responded with protective measures and the former president is safe and being evaluated. One spectator was killed, two spectators were critically injured. The incident is currently under investigation and the Secret Service has formally notified the Federal Bureau of Investigation."</p>

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday (Jul 14) announced a major cabinet reshuffle as ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum appointed Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum as minister of defence and deputy prime minister. The ruler said Rashid Al-Maktoum's addition to the government will better help shape the country's future. “Sheikh Hamdan is a leader who loves his people and his people love him. We have immense confidence that he will be a great addition to the UAE government and a major contributor to shaping the country’s future,” Sheikh Mohammed said on X. Additionally, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan has also been appointed as deputy prime minister, in addition to the charge of foreign ministry. <p>Crooks&nbsp;was shot dead by Secret Service agents, the agency said, after he opened fire from the roof of a building about 140 metres from the stage where&nbsp;Trump&nbsp;was speaking. An AR-15-style semiautomatic rifle was recovered near his body.</p>
