In the autopsy, water was not found in the lungs, trachea or stomach of the four passengers who were aboard the ill-fated 185-foot sailboat, further revealing&nbsp;that none of them drowned in the&nbsp;seawater after the ship sank amid the August 19 storm.

<h2>'Death by confinement' and not 'sinking in sea'</h2>

The Palermo Institute of Forensic Medicine's pathologists found that the four victims died because of asphyxiation once there was depletion of oxygen in the cabin and the air bubble turned toxic because of carbon dioxide.

An Italian publication said that the cause of death was “death by confinement".

Later, the dead bodies of Morvillos, the Bloomers and yacht owner Mike Lynch were discovered inside a similar cabin room towards the left side of the hull.

The superyacht sank and sat on the ocean floor with a tilt towards its right side. This proves that the victims were probably awake and went inside the cabins with the hope of getting air pockets.

However, the air pockets turned toxic when the victims breathed all the oxygen and breathed out carbon dioxide.

Bayesian superyacht sinking: Autopsy reveals four victims died of 'dry drowning', gasped for oxygen

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murdering an&nbsp;80-year-old Indian-origin&nbsp;man named Bhim Kohli.&nbsp;He&nbsp;died&nbsp;after being allegedly attacked while walking his dog in a park in Leicestershire.

The elderly was found dead in a park just 20 metres from his home in Franklin Park in Braunstone Town, at about 6:30 pm (local time) on Sunday.

A post-mortem examination confirmed Kohli died as a result of a neck injury, said police.&nbsp;

As per The Guardian, in July an incident was reported to police after Kohli was allegedly verbally abused by a group of youth&nbsp;near his home.&nbsp;

Friends and neighbours of Kohli describe him as a gentle family man and is regularly seen walking his dog, Rocky.&nbsp;

A neighbour, Harjinder Kaila, 53, said, “He was a really good man, nice to everyone. He had a sense of humour, always joking. I’ll really miss him.”

“We continue to offer support to the family through our family liaison officers, and the local policing teams are in the area to provide reassurance and discuss any issues or concerns,” she said further.

Det Insp Emma Matts said the circumstances surrounding Mr Kohli's death were "extremely tragic and upsetting", not only for his family and friends but also for the wider community.”

Leicestershire police said it had voluntarily referred itself to the police watchdog, the Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC), about the previous incident involving Kohli which was reported to them in July. During that incident, it is alleged some of the comments made by the young people were racist.

China's Xi expands his 'debt trap' net with latest package for Africa

In what reeks of a major government reshuffle in Ukraine, at least six top officials, cabinet ministers and a presidential aide tendered their resignation on Tuesday (Sep 3). The reset comes amidst the ongoing Kursk offensive against Russia as President Volodymyr Zelensky hopes to boost confidence in the government.

He is also expected to travel to the US next month where he would present Washington DC with a “victory plan”.

"As promised, a major government reset can be expected this week. More than 50 percent of the Cabinet of Ministers' staff will be changed," David Arakhamia, the head of the ruling Servant of the People party's parliamentary faction wrote on Telegram.

Sun held a series of positions within the New York State government from 2012 to 2023 - including deputy chief of staff to Hochul for a year, beginning in September 2021.

According to court documents, Sun furthered Chinese interests during her tenure in the state government. She blocked&nbsp;representatives of the Taiwanese government from meeting with officials and attempted to arrange for a New York state official to visit China.&nbsp;

"Acting at the request of PRC government officials and the [Communist Party of China] representative, Sun engaged in numerous political activities in the interests of the PRC and the CCP," the indictment noted.&nbsp;

Federal prosecutors added that Sun and Hu used the money received from Chinese overlords to buy multi-million dollar mansions on Long Island and Honolulu, as well as a Ferrari Roma sports car.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The&nbsp;Chinese government representatives also facilitated millions of dollars in transactions for Hu, who had business activities in China.&nbsp;

Sun has been charged with&nbsp;violating and conspiring to violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act, visa fraud, alien smuggling and money laundering conspiracy. Both Sun and her husband have pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Meet world’s oldest crocodile, Henry – a 16ft monster who has six ‘wives’ and 10,000 babies

An elderly Indian-origin man has been killed after being assaulted while walking his dog in a park in an eastern England town near the city of Leicester on Sunday (Sep 1).&nbsp;

The victim&nbsp;has been identified as Bhim Kohli (80) as police arrested five people - a boy and a girl aged 14 and one boy and two girls aged 12 – on suspicion of murder. However, as of the last update, four had been released without any action.&nbsp;

The incident took place around 6:30 pm local time near&nbsp;Franklin Park's entrance. The autopsy report revealed that Kohli had died due to a neck injury as further test results were awaited.&nbsp;

“Sadly, following the death of the victim last night, this has now become a murder investigation,” said&nbsp;Detective Inspector (DI) Emma Matts.&nbsp;

The police have appealed to the community members to come out and provide any information about the assault that took place on Kohli and what prompted it.&nbsp;

“Were you in the area of Franklin Park or Bramble Way around 6.30 pm on Sunday night? Did you see the attack itself? From the description given, did you see the victim before the incident or possibly a group of young people leaving the area after?," the police said in an appeal.&nbsp;

Four Indians were burned to death in USA’s Texas last week in a fatal crash involving five vehicles. The group had connected through a carpooling app and was travelling to Bentonville in Arkansas. The Collin County Sheriff’s Office revealed that the crash took place near White Street at around 3:30 pm local time on August 31.

Media reports say a speeding truck rear-ended the SUV the four Indians were travelling in. After the crash, the vehicle erupted into flames and their bodies were charred. Authorities were examining DNA fingerprinting and teeth and bone remains to identify the bodies of the victims.

"DNA fingerprinting will be done to identify the bodies, and the samples will be matched with the parents," local authorities said.

North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un reportedly lined up 30 government officials last month and executed them simultaneously for failing to prevent floods. The Chagang Province was hit by heavy rains and floods in July, leading to over 1,000 deaths and widespread homelessness.

South Korea’s Chosun TV reported citing a North Korean official that Kim ordered ‘strict punishment’ for those who were responsible for the ‘unacceptable loss.’ The report also claimed about 20-30 officials were executed from the flood-affected areas.

“It has been determined that 20 to 30 cadres in the flood-stricken area were executed at the same time late last month,” the official was quoted as saying.

WION can’t independently verify the authenticity of these claims.

Earlier, the North Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported that Kim Jong Un had directed authorities in an emergency Politburo meeting to “strictly punish” those who he said neglected their responsibilities for disaster prevention and caused “even the casualty that can not be allowed.”

Reports say he also opened an investigation into the actions of Chagang Province Party secretary Kang Bong-hoon. He is believed to have accompanied Kim to several flood sites for inspection.

Chosun TV quoted former North Korean diplomat Lee Il-gyu as saying that the meeting with Kim left provincial officials “so anxious that they don’t know when their necks will fall off.”
