Johnson said, "A year ago, a media startup pitched my company to provide content as an independent contractor. Our lawyers negotiated a standard, arms-length deal, which was later terminated. My lawyers will handle anyone who states or suggests otherwise."

Gray exited the class at 9:45 am and around half an hour later, active shooter alerts sounded in the school. A loudspeaker announcement told teachers to check their emails. That is when Gray reappeared at the door of the classroom, Lyela said.&nbsp;

Since no one thought that he might be the one carrying out the attack, a student went to open the door. However, he quickly noticed the gun in his hand and moved back. She says that Gray probably understood that they wouldn't open the door for him, so he went to the next class where the door was open and started firing.

He fired "a number of bullets one after another". "When we heard it, most people just dropped to the floor and like kind of crawled in an area like piled on top of each other," she said.

Gray injured nine others before surrendering when confronted by the police officers. Mason Schermerhorn, an autistic 14-year-old student, was one of the deceased in Wednesday's shooting in Winder, Georgia.

Law enforcement officials are yet to ascertain whether it was a targeted shooting.&nbsp;

The firearm used by Gray in the shooting has not been identified and how he gained access to it is also yet to be ascertained.

Officials have said that Gray will be tried as an adult in the deadly shooting. Reports suggest that he had been on the FBI's radar for over a year for threatening to commit a school shooting. His face started to lose colour three months later. What exactly causes vitiligo is not clear, but experts say that environmental stress factors can contribute to its beginning.

A police investigation was initiated into the matter and the school says they are waiting for its results, as well as a forensic injury assessment to determine what action should be taken against the teacher. Chinese media outlet Benliu News quoted a staff member as saying that the boy had been diagnosed with vitiligo.&nbsp;

Meanwhile, the mother is waiting for either the school or the teacher to reimburse the medical expenses incurred to treat her son. She says she has not been able to get in touch with either the teacher or the school regarding the same.
