<p>Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has gone all out at military graduates who took a pro-secular oath during their graduation ceremony, which was apparently against what the Turkish government proposed earlier.</p>

<p>Erdogan is now bent on “purging” those graduates from the military who took this particular oath, he said at a conference for Islamic schools in Kocaeli city on Saturday.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He described those involved as “opportunists,” and added that an investigation is underway that “the few impertinent individuals responsible will be purged.” The only problem is, that there were not “few” military graduates involved in the incident, but many.</p>

<p>“Whoever they are, it is not possible for them to be part of our military,” Erdogan said.</p>

<p>But video footage from about an hour later shows about 400 of the graduates gathered in a field, raising their swords and chanting “We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal” — a reference to the secular founder of modern Turkey.</p>

<p>Eroglu then led the group in the Officer’s Oath, in which they vowed to defend “a secular, democratic Turkey." This original oath was discontinued from the academy in 2022, under Erdogan’s policies.</p>

<p>Erdogan has tried to make Turkiye overtly religious since his term as President started in 2014. He made many changes in the country to shed off some of the secularist traditions of the original Kemalist republic.</p>

The top court ruled that the ancient building’s conversion to a museum by modern Turkiye’s founding statesman Ataturk was illegal. The cultural place was opened to the public for prayers two weeks after the ruling in July 2020.</p>

<p>Some pro-government commentators were highly critical of the actions of the military graduates, suggesting it might be a challenge to Erdogan’s government. Others online praised it as a sign that the Turkish military will remain secular regardless of the ruling party.</p>

While speaking at the presidential debate alongside Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, Trump didn’t respond to the question and just said, “I want the war to stop.”</p>

<p>He stressed that people were killed “by the millions” in the war, without mentioning who he thought the aggressor was.</p>

<h2><strong>‘Will negotiate a deal’</strong></h2>

<p>Trump reiterated that he would strike a peace deal in Ukraine even before becoming president, saying the US was “playing with World War Three.”</p>

<p>“I'll get the war with Ukraine and Russia ended. If I'm president-elect, I'll get it done before even becoming president,” Trump said.</p>

<p>Trump’s remarks on Tuesday refreshed concerns that a Trump 2.0 administration would cut off military and economic aid to Kyiv, leading to a Russian victory.</p>

<p>In her post, the daughter said that her father underwent a gruelling dental procedure at Yongkang Deway Dental Hospital on August 14.</p>

<p>As per the signed consent form, the surgeon used the “immediate restoration” method, in which he extracted his 23 teeth and placed 12 implants in one procedure.</p>

<p>The surgeon has five years of experience as a dentist and specialises in root canal treatment, impacted wisdom tooth extraction, and complete dentures. After getting the dental treatment, the man remained in pain for the entire time.</p>

<p>On August 28, the man died after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest.</p>

<p>The incident has left the entire country shocked, as the Yongkang Municipal Health Bureau's official said, “Since there was a 13-day gap between the tooth extractions and his death, we are still investigating the cause.”</p>

<p>Meanwhile, a staff member of the clinic, while speaking to The New York Post, said, “We will not be responding to this matter now as it has been handed over to our lawyer. If there are any updates, we will issue a statement; however, the investigation is ongoing.”</p>

<p>Earlier, Trump hinted at the possibility of offering Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk a prominent position in his administration if he secures a second term in the White House.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In an interview with Reuters last month, Trump said he was interested in bringing Musk into his team, either in a Cabinet role or as an advisor.</p>

<p>"I would tap Musk for such a position if he would do it," Trump told Reuters after a campaign event in York, Pennsylvania.</p>
