The Philippines on Tuesday (Nov 12) issued a fresh weather warning as the fifth major storm in merely a month threatened the archipelago, just days after Typhoon Toraji led to the evacuation of thousands.

While Toraji caused relatively limited deaths and no reported deaths as per the national weather agency, Typhoon Toraji is gaining strength just two days away from the Philippines' largest and most populous island, Luzon.

<h2>Evacuations imminent?</h2>

So far, the government has not called for evacuations ahead of Typhoon Usagi's arrival.

However, the weather agency warned that “Areas in northern Luzon are at risk of heavy rainfall, severe wind, and, possibly, storm surge inundation from (Usagi) which may cause considerable impacts”.

In a weather bulletin, it added that Usagi has wind speed of&nbsp;85 kilometres (52.82 miles) an hour and may hit the region late in the day. The storm will likely reach Typhoon category by Wednesday ahead of landfall.

Coastal waters will be rough and "mariners of small seacraft… are advised not to venture out to sea under these conditions", it added.

After Usagi, another storm, Tropical Storm Man-yi might also threaten the Philippines next week, it added. The tropical storm is currently near the Northern Mariana Islands.

<h2>Typhoon Toraji</h2>

While the government is yet to report any casualties from Typhoon Toraji, around 15,000 people are still sheltering at government-run evacuation centres.

The typhoon did not trigger any significant flooding, however, on Tuesday, utility workers, were fixing damaged bridges, restoring electricity and&nbsp;clearing road blockages caused by landslides, fallen trees etc, reported the civil defence office.

China is a key market for AstraZeneca, developer of a Covid-19 jab widely administered throughout the world during the coronavirus pandemic.

AstraZeneca on Tuesday noted that China accounted for about 12 percent of its global revenues in the third quarter. Sales in the country jumped 15 percent in the July-September period.

It also called for constitutional and electoral reforms including changing how the president and parliament speaker are chosen.

However, they do not carry an allergy warning that the butter "Contains Milk".&nbsp;The recall includes nearly 1,300 cases of Kirkland Signature Unsalted Sweet Cream Butter and 900 cases of Kirkland Signature Salted Sweet Cream Butter.

Social media users failed to understand the logic behind the recall, with most of them simply stating, "It’s butter".&nbsp;

"Costco forced to recall 80,000 pounds of butter for the dumbest possible reason," one user wrote.

People were left wondering why consumers need to be told by the government that butter contains milk.

"If you need to government to tell you that butter is a dairy product then…well, I can’t help you &nbsp;God I loathe the state," a user wrote on social media.

The massive recall of the common kitchen staple includes telling people that they can return the item or safely dispose of it.&nbsp;

One user wrote, "80,000 pounds of Costco butter was just recalled, because the label doesn’t say that it contains milk. It’s butter. News articles are telling people how they can return, or safely dispose of, the butter. It’s butter."

Another user joked how the next recall might be of beef because it "might contain cow".

Lactose-intolerant people can have a bad reaction to milk and milk products, even though butter is low in lactose. As per the CDC recall, milk is one of the foods that "account for most serious allergic reactions in the United States."

As per data, at least two per cent of American children have milk allergies.

"I'm not clinging to my job," he said in an interview on ARD television.

Now, with Trump back in the White House, who has been vocal about curtailing the finds to Ukraine, the president-elect will look forward to putting an end to the three-year-long war quickly.&nbsp;

Tehran and Riyadh had severed ties in 2016 after Saudi diplomatic missions in Iran were attacked during protests over Riyadh's execution of Shiite cleric Nimr al-Nimr.

The two countries have long backed opposing sides in conflict zones across the region, notably in Syria and Yemen.

<h2>Who is Giulia Tofana?</h2>

Giulia Tofana lived in 17th-century Italy and sold poison to wives who wanted to kill their abusive husbands. This resulted in the death of more than 600 men.

The signature brew of Tofana was a mixture of deadly ingredients like arsenic and belladonna called “Aqua Tofana”.

The concoction had proved to be very effective in those times and Tofana was considered a very prolific serial killer.

It was believed that the poison was flavourless and was not detectable after death. It was generally stored in ordinary cosmetics bottles.

In one of the online videos, a young woman with green hair had a large, spiked septum ring which had the text “Aqua Tofana isn’t that hard to make” superimposed on footage in which she was making a gesture of slitting a throat with her thumb.

A lot of videos also had Eminem's song “Venom” playing in the background with lyrics, “This f–king world better prepare to get laced because they’re gonna taste my venom.”

Some women have not mentioned Aqua Tofana but just showed off their “poison rings" and wearable baubles, which supposedly had hidden compartments that apparently held lethal doses of a toxin.

“My advice for American women,” a text in a video read as a woman stood by a body-length mirror.

“I know you will understand this. They asked for it,” read the text as she flipped open her poison ring.

A woman&nbsp;shared a TikTok&nbsp;video and appealed to people to take part in &nbsp;“MATGA” movement.&nbsp;

“You do know those videos can be used against you, right? It’s giving off premeditated vibes. The internet is FOREVER. Also.. the 1600s were A LOT different than 2024 advancements in detecting POISON,” read the text of the video shared by the woman.

US climate envoy John Podesta said on Monday (Nov. 11) that US President-elect Donald Trump can slow the transition from fossil fuels but would not stop it when he returns to office in January.&nbsp;

While speaking at the annual UN climate summit in Baku, Azerbaijan, Podesta urged governments to keep faith in the country's promise to combat global warming.&nbsp;

Podesta further called last week's US election result “bitterly disappointing”.&nbsp;

He said that Trump's &nbsp;"relationship to climate change is captured by the word 'hoax'”.

“None of this is a hoax, it is real,” he added.&nbsp;
