US launches $1 Trump coin: First living person on US currency in 100 years

The U.S. Treasury has released a new $1 commemorative coin featuring President Donald Trump, marking the 250th anniversary of American independence. The gold-finish coin shows Trump on the front and the Great Seal of the United States on the reverse, with the dates “1776 ~ 2026.” The coin has sparked debate because living presidents have traditionally not appeared on U.S. currency.
