UN nuclear watchdog report on Syria confirms Assad-Era nuclear reactor plan
The UN nuclear watchdog, IAEA, has confirmed that Syria was constructing an undeclared nuclear reactor in Deir ez-Zor during the Assad era. Inspectors also identified around 73 tonnes of natural uranium at a related site, with the material now under IAEA monitoring.
