UN body rejects debate on China's treatment of Uighur Muslims

The UN human rights council voted down a motion to hold a debate about alleged human rights abuses by China against Uighurs and other Muslims in Xinjiang in a victory for Beijing as it seeks to avoid further scrutiny. 11 countries including India abstained from voting in UNHRC on Uighurs.
