Three members of Congress targeted in ‘swatting’ incidents
Over the course of the past week, at least three members of Congress have reported incidents of "swatting." The most recent to disclose that he was the victim of criminal harassment is New York Republican Brandon Williams. Typically, the act entails prank-calling 911 in order to summon a heavily armed Swat team to the target's residence.
