Tamil Nadu: fertility rate falls below 1.4, Health Minister calls for childbirth incentives

Tamil Nadu is considering incentives to encourage larger families as its Total Fertility Rate falls below 1.4 and the state’s population ages. Health Minister K G Arunraj said the state could explore a policy similar to Andhra Pradesh.
