Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to amend the Constitution to permanently retain the Lok Sabha's strength at 543 seats and preserve the current state-wise allocation. The demand comes after the Tamil Nadu Assembly passed a resolution opposing changes linked to the proposed delimitation exercise.
