Saudi Arabia has quietly eased its strict alcohol ban, permitting non-Muslim foreign residents who meet specific income requirements to purchase alcohol in designated stores. The change is limited to those with premium residency status and a monthly income of at least 50,000 riyals (about $13,300), who must show proof of earnings.
