President Donald Trump has announced sweeping new tariffs, imposing a 25% duty on imports from Canada and Mexico, and an additional 10% tariff on Chinese goods. The justification? An emergency declaration under the 1977 International Emergency Economic Powers Act, or IEEPA, citing the threats of fentanyl trafficking and illegal immigration.
