China is gearing up for a massive military parade in Beijing next month to mark 80 years since Japan’s surrender in World War Two. The show of strength will feature tens of thousands of troops, hundreds of aircraft, and new-generation high-tech weapons — including hypersonic missiles and anti-ship systems.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to attend, as global attention turns to Beijing amid rising military tensions in the Indo-Pacific. This is the first such parade since 2015.
