For India, captain Suryakumar Yadav saved his team’s sinking ship with a match-winning 84* off 49 balls, propelling them to 161 for nine in 20 overs.<br>&nbsp;</p><p>The USA failed to get going at the start, losing three early wickets inside the Powerplay; however, the middle order revived their innings but couldn’t help them cross the line, as India beat them by 29 runs.<br>&nbsp;</p><p>Meanwhile, Team USA was on the front pages of the last edition for beating former world champions Pakistan in the shocker of the tournament. Several Indian-origin players on the American team seem to have enjoyed the victory&nbsp; a lot. However,&nbsp; their next clash is against Team India at the Nassau County Cricket Stadium in New York on Wednesday (June 12), and Saurabh Netravalkar, the bowler who defended 19 runs against Pakistan in the super over, opened up on facing India and some of his ex-mates, including Suryakumar Yadav.</p>

<p>With two wins in as many matches, the co-hosts of the tournament, the USA, is sitting at the top of the points table, and a win over India or Ireland in their remaining two games will seal their spot in Super Eight.</p>

<p>Although they looked settled as a unit, taking down India would require plenty more than just a good day of cricket. That, however, is not even the biggest worry for Netravalkar, who admits feeling a bit emotional going against the country he represented at the U-19 level.&nbsp;</p>

Besides denting their momentum and ego to some extent, the USA continued bowling tight lines, putting Pakistan captain Babar Azam under tremendous pressure. As a result, he failed to capitalise, scoring almost a run-a-ball 43 off 42 deliveries, hitting two sixes and five fours.&nbsp;</p>

<p>While Shadab Khan pressed his case for retention in the XI despite mediocre bowling lately with his 25-ball 40 knock, none of the batters could get going in the first innings.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On the other hand Nosthush Kenjige was the best bowler for USA, returning with three wickets, while Indian-origin Saurabh Netravalkar picked two wickets to restrict Pakistan to 159 for seven in 20 overs.</p>

The left-arm-spinner-cum-left-hand-batsman who made a humble beginning playing school cricket went on to captain the UAE U16 and U19 squads including the one that participated in the 2020 ICC U19 World Cup, where he played a crucial role in their qualification.</p>

<p>The development is a historical milestone for the governing body established in 2017 to unify and develop the cricket community in the United States following the expulsion of USACA, the ICC said.</p>

<p>USA Cricket's application to become the 93rd Associate Member in accordance with the ICC Constitution was approved by ICC Members following the Membership Committee's recommendation to the ICC Board late last year and is implemented with immediate effect.</p>

<p>As a Member of the ICC, USA Cricket is now eligible to receive funding in accordance with the ICC Development Funding Policy and can sanction domestic and international cricket in the United States.</p>
