After securing a sweeping victory in the US Presidential elections, Donald Trump is building his team for his second term at the White House. Watch this report for more details!

Donald Trump Begins Shaping His Administration

Around a week after the US Presidential elections and Donald Trump's victory, the electoral decision has left some women fearful for abortion access nationwide. With this, there has been a surge in online sales of emergency contraceptives, including the morning-after pill Plan B, according to retailers.

This surge in sales highlights that women are concerned about how the incoming Trump term could restrict their access to emergency contraception, and they are preparing now, Monica Cepak, CEO of the sexual and reproductive telehealth company Wisp said.

Wisp offers two types of emergency contraception online and said its sale has gone up about 1000 per cent in just one day after Tuesday's election.

“We are seeing women actually stockpile emergency contraception pills,” Cepak said. “We actually recently launched multipacks of Plan B, and this was the driver of a lot of the increase in orders that we saw. About 90 per cent of emergency contraception orders are those multipacks.”

At another sexual and vaginal health firm, Winx Health, a startup, the sales of its morning-after pill Restart were up 315 per cent on the day after the election compared with the 24 hours before the US polls.

“Things skyrocketed immediately,” said Cynthia Plotch, co-founder of Winx Health.

“We’re seeing the majority of these sales come from our multipack. So it’s not that women are buying a single product. They’re stockpiling to have them on hand for themselves, for their friends, for their sisters,” Plotch said.

“Something that I am taking away from this experience is that women are smart. Women are savvy. We didn’t make our bodies political. They were made to be political pawns, and now we’re learning how to take back that control,” she said. “I think that is why we are seeing the trends that we are seeing.”

Meanwhile, some physicians reported a surge in patients asking not only about their options for these types of emergency contraception, but also long-acting contraception like intrauterine devices, or IUDs.

Moreover, some of these patients are also asking to receive either medications or procedures before US President-elect Trump is sworn into office in January.

Two days after the election, Dr Clayton Alfonso, an obstetrician-gynecologist at Duke Health in North Carolina, said, "I had four requests from patients for either permanent sterilization or an IUD, and all four of them were saying, ‘Can I please get this done before inauguration?’"

"Musk has been in the room when world leaders called Trump, and tonight we've learned he's also weighing in on staffing decisions – making clear his preference for certain roles, even," Collins said on Sunday night.

Podesta suggested that Trump's incoming administration will try to make a U-turn on the government's climate commitment, but that the US is committed to its goals.

“Are we facing new headwinds, absolutely. But will we revert to the energy system of the 1950s? No way,” he said.

Podesta said the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), opens a new tab, President Joe Biden's landmark climate legislation providing billions of dollars in subsidies for clean energy, would continue to drive investments in solar, wind and other technologies, adding that the US state governments would also push emissions cuts through regulation.

US: Donald Trump Announces Tom Homan as New 'Border Czar'

'Move to Canada' Google searches have spiked post-US election. Recent reports claim that the US citizens are having plans to relocate themselves to Canada following the victory of Donald Trump in the US Presidential elections.

Americans Planning to Shift to Canada After Trump Wins?

US President-elect Donald Trump announced that his former acting US Immigration and Customs Enforcement director, Tom Homan, will serve as "border czar" in his upcoming administration.

Homan, who has backed Trump's controversial "zero tolerance" policy, will be his administration's border czar during the US President-elect's second term.

"I am pleased to announce that the Former ICE Director, and stalwart on Border Control, Tom Homan, will be joining the Trump Administration, in charge of our Nation's Borders," Trump wrote late Sunday on his Truth Social site.

Trump further said that Homan's responsibilities would include “the Southern Border, the Northern Border, all Maritime, and Aviation Security.”

Also read: Trump seeks to bypass Senate confirmation process with 'recess appointments'. Here's what it means

He added, "I’ve known Tom for a long time, and there is nobody better at policing and controlling our Borders. Likewise, Tom Homan will be in charge of all Deportation of Illegal Aliens back to their Country of Origin. Congratulations to Tom. I have no doubt he will do a fantastic, and long-awaited, job.”

The term 'border czar' comes after Trump and other Republicans derisively applied that description to US Vice President Kamala Harris during the campaign, alleging that he failed in her efforts to oversee a portfolio addressing the root causes of migration from Central America.

Trump's Day 1 agenda likely includes a focus on cracking down on immigration, and by appointing Homan, he is placing a steady ally who has always shown a will to carry out his orders.

Previously, Homan has promised to "run the biggest deportation force this country has ever seen.”

Earlier in October, in an interview with CBS' 60 Minutes, Homan was asked whether there was a way to carry out mass deportations without separating families. To this, he responded, "Of course there is. Families can be deported together."

In another interview on Fox News Channel's "Sunday Morning Futures," Homan said the military wouldn't be rounding up and arresting immigrants in the country illegally and that ICE would move to implement Trump's plans in a "humane manner."

"It's going to be a well-targeted, planned operation conducted by the men of ICE. The men and women of ICE do this daily. They're good at it," he said. "When we go out there, we're going to know who we're looking for. We most likely know where they're going to be, and it's going to be done in a humane manner."

US President-elect Donald Trump announced that his former acting US Immigration and Customs Enforcement director, Tom Homan, will serve as "border czar" in his upcoming administration.

Trump further said that Homan's responsibilities would include “the Southern Border, the Northern Border, all Maritime, and Aviation Security.” Also read: Trump seeks to bypass Senate confirmation process with 'recess appointments'. Here's what it means He added, "I’ve known Tom for a long time, and there is nobody better at policing and controlling our Borders. Likewise, Tom Homan will be in charge of all Deportation of Illegal Aliens back to their Country of Origin. Congratulations to Tom. I have no doubt he will do a fantastic, and long-awaited, job.” The term 'border czar' comes after Trump and other Republicans derisively applied that description to US Vice President Kamala Harris during the campaign, alleging that he failed in her efforts to oversee a portfolio addressing the root causes of migration from Central America. Trump's Day 1 agenda likely includes a focus on cracking down on immigration, and by appointing Homan, he is placing a steady ally who has always shown a will to carry out his orders. Previously, Homan has promised to "run the biggest deportation force this country has ever seen.” Watch | Will Trump Be Able To Stop Ukraine-Russia War? | World News | Live-Discussion × Earlier in October, in an interview with CBS' 60 Minutes, Homan was asked whether there was a way to carry out mass deportations without separating families. Why Kamala Harris Lost The US Election?

Billie Eilish is upset with the results of the United States presidential election as she paused her concert to slam Republican candidate and winner Donald Trump. The winner of the US presidential election has been receiving a lot of hate from American celebrities and Billie joins a long list who didn’t mince her words in public.

She called Trump a “predator”.

As she performed in Nashville, the singer said she “could not fathom” doing a show on a day like this. She said that she was utterly disappointed as Trump will soon return to the White House.

The video of the same has now gone viral. In the video, Billie Eilish said, “I want you to know that you’re safe with me, and you’re protected here and that you are safe in this room. And the song that we’re about to do is … about the abuse that exists in this world upon women and a lot of the experiences that I have gone through and people I know have gone through. To tell you the truth, I’ve never met one single woman who doesn’t have a story of abuse. Not one.”

Billie Eilish called Trump a 'convicted predator' and added, “I’ve dealt with some stuff myself, and I’ve been taken advantage of. My boundaries were crossed, to say it politely, and now a person who is a … let’s say convicted predator, let’s say that — god, my heart is beating fast — someone who hates women so, so deeply is about to be the president of the United States of America. So, this song is for all the women out there. I love you, I support you.”
