ETS stated in an official statement, “TOEFL to be shortened by an hour from July, candidates to get real-time notification of score status.”

The TOEFL iBT is regarded as an academic English communication test of the highest calibre that is widely regarded and recommended&nbsp;

The test will be reduced in duration from three to two hours by streamlining the test's instructions and navigation. In place of the old autonomous writing job, condensed reading part, and test questions without grades, a new "writing for an academic discussion" task will be added.

“Those taking English language proficiency test TOEFL will now know official score release date upon completion of exam," ETS said.

As of 11:00 am (local time), China “organised military aircraft this morning and crossed the median line from the north, the centre, and the south,” said Taiwan’s defence ministry. The nine Chinese ships and 26 aircraft, including J-16 and Su-30 fighters, were seen carrying out combat readiness patrols around the island, said the defence ministry, as per Reuters.&nbsp;

Hackers in Ukraine said on Monday (April 10) that they had broken into e-mails of a senior Russian military spy wanted by the FBI in connection with hacking into the Hillary Clinton campaign ahead of Donald Trump's election to presidency in 2016.

The hacker group, calling itself Cyber Resistance announced on Telegram that it had stolen correspondence from Lt Col Sergey Morgachev.

Sergey Morgachev was charged in 2018 with helping organise hack and leak of emails from Democratic National Committee (DNC) and campaign of Hillary Clinton.

Reuters quoted Stefan Soesanto, a researcher at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, who said that the leak "looks pretty credible". Soesanto has studied Ukrainian hacking groups.

InformNapalm said in an article about the breach that it confirmed Morgachev's identity by checking personnel files and CVs stolen by the hackers.

On its website, InformNapalm calls itself a volunteer initiative and that its core mission is to "inform the world about the real role of the Russian government in ongoing hybrid conflicts in Ukraine,..."

No immediate reaction from Morgachev was reported.

Nashville city council votes to recently ousted lawmaker

The Metropolitan Council of Nashville and Davidson County held a vote to reinstate Jones, who on Thursday had become the first state representative ever to be expelled from the statehouse for violating the chamber’s rules on decorum without an investigation or accusations of serious misconduct. The vote which was held during a special session of the council saw unanimous support with a 36-0.&nbsp;

Addressing the state House of Representatives, on Monday, after being reinstated, Jones said, “I want to welcome the people back to the people’s house. I want to welcome democracy back to the people’s house.” Jones, who had been elected to Tennessee’s House of Representatives last year, has been appointed again as the interim representative.&nbsp;

Previously, both Nashville lawmaker Jones and Memphis lawmaker Justin Pearson, his Black Democratic colleague who was also expelled, had vowed to return to the statehouse.&nbsp;Memphis Board of Commissioners is expected to vote on Wednesday which would decide if Pearson would be allowed to temporarily regain his seat. Meanwhile, the duo has said that they will also contest in special elections in the coming months to permanently fill the seats.

Protests outside the Tennessee Statehouse

During the Metro Council vote, there were around 600 protesters gathered outside to show their support for Jones, waving signs and chanting “Whose house? Our house!” and “No Justin, no peace”, a play on the civil rights slogan, “No justice, no peace,” reported Al-Jazeera.&nbsp;

After the vote, those chants turned to cheers of “Welcome home!”. Jones returned after being sworn in on the steps of the state capitol surrounded by supporters on Monday evening.&nbsp;

On March 30, three lawmakers from the Democratic Party, Jones, Pearson, and Gloria Johnson staged a protest and were ousted from the Republican-controlled statehouse, saying that the trio had brought “disorder and dishonour to the House”. The two young Black lawmakers were expelled, while the third Democrat, Johnson avoided expulsion by a single vote.&nbsp;
