Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has sacked the commander of the Joint Forces Command following allegations that he caused mass casualties in the ongoing war on the Russia front. Zelensky declared Monday (Jun 24) that Lt Gen Yuriy Sodol had been replaced by Brig Gen Andriy Hnatov. He didn't give any reason for the shake-up but observers are linking it with grave allegations levelled by Bohdan Krotevych, the leader of Ukraine’s revered Azov regiment.

Reacting to the new appointment, Krotevych said, “Hnatov is a very good officer. I hope the news at the front will get better.”
