“I saw that she had symptoms of post-traumatic stress, such as withdrawing and distancing herself from her friends. I asked her to take care of herself,” said her brother Eyal, while speaking to Hebrew media as reported by the Times of Israel.

<h2>State killed Golan, says grieving brother of Nova festival survivor</h2>

Golan was the youngest of five siblings and had plans to visit the Western Wall and the Cave of the Patriarchs to celebrate her 22nd birthday,&nbsp;said her family, while speaking to Ynet.&nbsp;

Eyal said that he had lived with his sister during the Sukkot holiday and she appeared okay to me.&nbsp;

“I asked how she was, and she said she was fine. I gave her a hug and a kiss, not realising it would be the last,” the brother said.&nbsp;

The family members of Golan blamed the Israeli government for not taking care of the survivors.

“If the state had taken care of her, none of this would have happened. She said that she doesn’t get any help from the state. She said that she only gets aid from the [Tribe of Nova Community Association],” Eyal said.

While speaking to the Jerusalem Post, the grieving brother said, “The state killed Golan. If the state doesn’t wake up, there will be more cases like this.”

The mother of Golan took early retirement to help her daughter recover from her PTSD, however, she failed to save her.

“My mother had to retire early to be near her daughter,” said Eyal, in conversation with Israel’s Channel 12 News. "We didn’t move a millimetre from her, and the only time we left her alone was today –&nbsp;and she decided to end her life," he added.&nbsp;

Eyal said that during the October 7 massacre, her sister got in a car with her friends to escape Hamas militants but then she had a bad feeling about it and got out of the car.&nbsp;

“Everyone who was in the car was murdered. Eleven people were murdered there. It was a death vehicle. She switched to a police car that took her to Kfar Maimon [a town in southern Israel]. And that’s how she was saved,” he said to Israel Hayom.&nbsp;

The rescue team had already established contact with the person before pulling him out of the rubble, said the local official. He also thanked the rescue teams and volunteers.&nbsp;

“Thank you to the rescue teams and volunteers who have been working so hard these last 4-5 days to rescue those trapped. We never gave up hope and today I cannot express the extent of my relief and joy. Thank you to all the teams – you are true heroes. I am proud of you,” Winde added.&nbsp;

<h2>Death toll rises to 13</h2>

Out of the 81 workers who were present on the site when the building collapsed, 13 were confirmed dead, 29 were alive and 39 were still unaccounted for, reported Reuters citing local officials.&nbsp;

Rescuers were seen using cranes, drills and even their bare hands as they tried to reach those trapped under the rubble after the collapse on Monday.&nbsp;

According to authorities, many survivors sustained burns and head injuries while some suffered internal injuries.&nbsp;

He added, “We know that time is against us”. The police were using fingerprints, DNA testing and photographs, said the head of rescue operations.&nbsp;

The incident took place in the country’s coastal city of George, on Monday afternoon around 2:09 pm (local time) when an under-construction five-storey building came crashing down for reasons which are not known as of yet.&nbsp;

A woman identified as Yocheved Lifschitz, who was taken as hostage by Hamas terrorists on October 7 and released on Tuesday morning (Oct 24), held a press conference from the hospital where she was recovering after getting free. 
 
85-year-old Yocheved Lifschitz said that she has been through hell while speaking about how she was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists and carried away on motorbikes from her kibbutz. 
 
Yocheved Lifshitz&nbsp;had spent years getting medical supplies into Gaza. 
 
She stated that they&nbsp;entered Gaza Strip through a gate and that she suffered bruises because of the motorbike ride. She added that she was struggling to breathe.

Sharone spoke about the "huge network" of underground tunnels which is being run by Hamas, calling it similar to a "spider's web". 
 
Speaking to the press, Lifschitz said that she was told&nbsp;by the people who held her captive that if “you believe in the Quran. We won't hurt you”. The daughter of Lifschitz, Sharone, further continued her translation. 
 
She stated that the captors took off her mother's jewellery and watch, while she was being driven. The daughter said that her mother, along with 24 others, were taken by the Hamas terrorists into the tunnels, which she stated as having "soft, wet ground". 
 
She stated that, after two or three hours, five people from Kibbutz Nir Oz were kept in a separate room. She stated that there were guards, along with a doctor and a paramedic.

Yocheved Lifschitz, while describing the conditions in which she and her fellow captives were kept in, said that she was kept in a clean place. She stated that they were given mattresses to sleep on the floor inside the tunnels and a doctor came to visit them every two to three days. 
 
She added that Hamas "took care of every detail", including "feminine hygiene". The hostages fed the captives with cucumber and white cheese.

The study's sponsor, Cancer Research UK, hailed the results as "heartwarming" and comforting for breast cancer patients.

Researchers followed the survival rates of 500,000 English women who were diagnosed with breast cancer between 1993 and 2015 under the direction of the University of Oxford academics.

The authors primarily examined instances of breast cancer that had not spread beyond the breast.

Five years after diagnosis, when the chance of dying from breast cancer was discovered to be highest, they monitored the patients to determine their risk of mortality.

In contrast to women diagnosed in the 1990s, those diagnosed between 2010 and 2015 had a 66 per cent&nbsp;lower chance of passing away from the condition within five years.

When a woman was diagnosed between 1993 and 1999, her probability of dying&nbsp;within five years of diagnosis was 14.4 per cent.&nbsp;

Dr Carolyn Taylor, professor of oncology at Oxford Population&nbsp;Health&nbsp;and lead author of the paper who spoke to the Guardian said,&nbsp;“Our study is good news for the overwhelming majority of women diagnosed with early breast cancer today because their prognosis has improved so much."

“Their risk of dying from their breast cancer in the first five years after diagnosis is now five&nbsp;per cent.&nbsp;It can also be used to estimate risk for individual women in the clinic. Our study shows that prognosis after a diagnosis of early breast cancer varies widely, but patients and clinicians can use these results to predict accurate prognosis moving forward," he said.

“In the future, further research may be able to reduce the breast cancer death rates for women diagnosed with early breast cancer even more,” he added.&nbsp;

Majority early-stage breast cancer patients to be long-term survivors: Study

Four Indigenous children, including an 11-month-old infant, were found alive in Colombia's thick Amazon forests&nbsp;following an aircraft crash&nbsp;more than two weeks ago, President Gustavo Petro announced Wednesday, expressing "joy" for the country.

The children were located following "arduous search efforts" by the military, according to Petro's tweet.

There is uncertainty over whether the four children from an Indigenous tribe in Colombia had been found alive after an aircraft crash, when reports from the country's president were challenged by military sources.&nbsp;

The hunt for "Operation Hope" was hampered by giant trees that can grow to be 40 metres tall, dangerous animals, and severe rain.

Three helicopters were used to assist, one of which aired a recorded message from the children's grandmother in Huitoto instructing them to halt going through the dense forest.&nbsp;

The reason of the crash&nbsp;has not been revealed by authorities.

According to Colombia's disaster response agency, the pilot reported engine difficulties just minutes before the jet vanished from radars.

It is a remote location with few roads and poor river access, therefore air travel is popular.

The move was contested by relatives on his mother’s side in Israel. This led to the escalation of tensions between the two sides of the family. &nbsp;&nbsp;

The judge said Eitan’s removal from Italy was unlawful. It had violated the guardianship rights of his paternal aunt. The judge urged the family to reconcile. He said, “There is supreme importance in focusing on the medical and emotional condition of the minor and giving him the support, treatment and embrace he needs following the tragedy that befell him and his family.” &nbsp;

Several therapy dogs have already been coupled with surviving families from Argentina, another from Paraguay, and others who came in from Houston, Perez.

"They're having panic attacks or anxiety problems and we have been able to let them work with the dogs, touching the dog, getting their emotions out," said Linda Perez, president of Boricuas de Corazon, a nonprofit group dedicated to helping disaster victims.

These therapy dogs have helped people gain sanity amid an emotional rollercoaster that the victims have been going through since the building collapse.
