Four boys have been arrested on Tuesday in Pakistan for their alleged involvement in vandalising a Hindu temple in Sindh province a day before.

The felons, four boys aged 15, 13, 13 and 12 have confessed to the crime and said that they carried out the act to steal money from Mata Deval Bhittani temple in a village near Thar's Chhachro town, where idols of deities have also been desecrated.

An FIR was registered against the vandals on the directions of Thar Senior Superintendent of Police Abdullah Ahmedyar on Monday. The accused were arrested by the Tharparkar police soon after.

After visiting the temple, Chhachro station house office Hussain Bux Rajar claimed that the incident was aimed at disturbing the communal harmony of the area where Muslims and Hindus have been living together peacefully for decades.

Special Assistant to Sindh Chief Minister on Human Rights, Advocate Veerji Kolhi reassured the masses and asked the people of all communities to stay calm. He promised that those responsible for attempting to disturb communal peace in the area will be brought to justice.

The banner said, "The Sindhi nation do not want to live in a terrorist, theocratic and a fascist state of Pakistan".

Sindhis celebrate 116th birth anniversary of late GM Syed with fervour

India has summoned a senior official of the <a href="https://www.wionews.com/india-news/scuffle-breaks-out-between-bajrang-dal-and-security-forces-near-pakistan-high-commission-272718">Pakistan High Commission</a> and lodged a strong protest over the recent cases of abduction of minor girls from the minority Hindu community in Pakistan, and urged for the safe return of them to their families, government sources said. 
 
The development comes after incidents of kidnapping of minor girls from the Hindu community came to light in Pakistan earlier this month. 
 
Two minor girls, Shanti Meghwad and Sarmi Meghwad, belonging to the minority Hindu community were abducted on January 14. They belong to Umar Village in <a href="https://www.wionews.com/south-asia/pakistan-facing-a-locust-crisis-more-than-40-crops-under-risk-263563">Tharparkar</a> of Sindh province. 
 
In another incident, a minor girl, Mehak, also belonging to the minority Hindu community, was abducted from Jacobabad district of Sindh province on January 15. 
 
"Pakistan has been conveyed the grave concerns as expressed amongst various quarters of the Indian civil society at such a shocking and deplorable incident involving minor girls from the minority Hindu community in Pakistan. The incidents have been strongly condemned and asked for the immediate safe return of the girls to their families," government sources said. 
 
India has time and again lodged several protests over the abduction and forced marriage of women from the Hindu community in the neighboring country. 
 
Recently, an angry group of local residents pelted stones at <a href="https://www.wionews.com/south-asia/imran-chishti-the-man-who-incited-nankana-sahib-gurdwara-violence-arrested-272549">Gurdwara Nankana Sahib</a> in Pakistan on January 3. Moreover, dozens of animals have been killed in the region during the last 24 hours. 
 
The incidents of thunder strike took place at Islamkot, Nagarparkar, Mithi, Chhachhro and other areas of Tharparkar. 
 
An incident of a thunderbolt in Kotdiji in Khairpur district set a tree on fire. 
 
According to rescue officials, several injured have been shifted to different hospitals, including the district Civil Hospital Mithi. 
 
Adding that over 16 injured were shifted to health facilities since Wednesday late evening, officials confirmed that at least ten&nbsp;bodies were brought to different hospitals in the region. 
 
On Thursday, the district administration issued a notification of emergency across the district, cancelling leaves of employees of all departments.

This comes after Inspector General of Police (IG) Syed Kaleem Imam chaired a meeting to look into the status of investigations into Karo-Kari killings in the region.

Imam had directed the police to prepare a detailed report on a case-to-case basis about the conviction and release of people in connection with Karo-Kari killings across the province.

Besides, he urged officials to ensure no loopholes are left during the probe and the same was adequately pursued before courts.

According to police, Karo-Kari killings, a heinous trend criticised by the authorities as well as human rights organisations, continues unabated as they find it hard to investigate such killings as both aggrieved and accused parties generally belong to the same family or tribe.

For long, Pakistan establishment has been criticised by international bodies and local human rights organisations for its practice of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings.&nbsp;

According to the Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappearances, an entity established by the Pakistani government, about 5,000 cases of enforced disappearances have been registered since 2014.&nbsp;

Most of them are still unresolved.

Independent local and international human rights organisations put the numbers much higher.&nbsp;

Around 20,000 have reportedly been abducted from Balochistan only, out of which more than 2,500 have turned up dead as bullet-riddled bodies, bearing signs of extreme torture.

Before being elected as Prime Minister, Imran Khan had admitted in multiple interviews about the involvement of Pakistan`s intelligence agencies in enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings and vowed to resign if he was unable to put an end to the practice, holding those involved responsible.&nbsp;

A violent mob in Pakistan vandalised three Hindu temples and <a href="https://www.wionews.com/south-asia/pakistan-minority-members-stage-walkout-after-anti-hindu-remarks-by-pak-lawmaker-204474">attacked members of the minority community</a>&nbsp;on Saturday.

The mob which went furious over allegations that a Hindu school principal had allegedly committed blasphemy also targetted&nbsp;multiple houses belonging to the minority community and a school in Ghotki in Pakistan's Sindh province.

The violence followed after an FIR was registered against the principal of Sindh Public School on the complaint of a student`s father.

The FIR was lodged under Article 295(c) - that pertains to "derogatory remarks in respect of the Holy Prophet - of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Videos that surfaced on the social media showed a group of people violently wielding sticks on a Hindu temple and the school.

After the incident, large contingents of police and paramilitary Rangers were deployed in Ghotki.

The residents have demanded the arrest the principal. Also, religious groups and organisations have called for a shutter down strike. Shops in the region remained closed on Sunday.

Meanwhile, due to the violent situation prevailing in the region, the police has put the alleged accused under "safe custody".

The authorities have also launched an investigation into the incident.

The rioters allegedly included supporters of radical religious leader Pir Abdul Haq alias Mian Mithu, who is widely accused of involvement in forced conversion of Hindu women in Sindh, IANS stated.

Also, religious groups and organisations have called for a shutter down strike. Shops in the region remained closed on Sunday. Meanwhile, due to the violent situation prevailing in the region, the police has put the alleged accused under "safe custody". The authorities have also launched an investigation into the incident. The rioters allegedly included supporters of radical religious leader Pir Abdul Haq alias Mian Mithu, who is widely accused of involvement in forced conversion of Hindu women in Sindh, IANS stated.

According to the WHO report, 324 people or 47 per cent have been provided medical assistance so far, while 427 others or 53 per cent remain without treatment.

The provision of essential medicines is a huge challenge for Pakistani authorities as they have stocks to treat 240 of the 604 affected children. The medicine stocks that are being used to treat the 240 children in different hospitals will last until July 15.

The WHO-led team is in Pakistan on a request by the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination. It includes experts in emergency response management, epidemiology, HIV clinical care, and infection prevention and control from the global health body, as well as the Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network (GOARN).

In Sindh province, the HIV outbreak was first reported on April 25 and a major screening programme was initiated on April 28.

On May 8, the HIV programme was expanded and WHO had said that "majority (of cases) are among children and young people - more than half those affected are children under the age of 5."

A mass movement has gripped Pakistan's Sindh province as demand for early release of missing persons has intensified.

Various political organisations and family members of the victims are holding hunger strike camps at various places including Karachi, Kotri, Mehrabpur, Moro, Badin, Bathoro and Pano Aqil demanding safe release of missing persons.

In an estimate, over 4,000 people have gone missing from Sindh province since 2011.

Accusing the security forces for the enforced disappearances, the family members of the victims are protesting in Sindh by holding the pictures of the dear ones. The prominent of those missing are Aaqib Chandio, Kaleem Tunio and Khadim Hussain Areejo.

The family members have asked the government to bring them in courts and prove their crime.

Voice for Missing Persons of Sindh's Convenor Soarath Lohar said at a hunger strike camp in Amarkot, "Now, we are going to other phase of struggle after Eid, which will be more effective and strengthened. We say it's better for security agencies that all abducted nationalist workers must be released before Eid."

In Kotri, the political activists pitch for 72 hours hunger strike camp for missing persons of Sindh outside the Press Club.

At many hunger strike camps, the Sindhi folk singers have also joined the movement to show their solidarity for the missing persons.

The Sindh Bar Council also announced black day and full day hunger strike by tasking seriously note on substantial increase of disappearances of the innocent citizens and inordinate delay in their recovery.

Salahuddin Khan Gandapur, Vice Chairman and Yasir Arfat Shah, Chairman, Executive of Sindh Bar Council requested the legal fertility as well as Bar Association of Sindh to wear black bands and condemn the act of involved authorities.

Despite massive protests and strikes, the federal and provincial governments are silent over the issue.

China Pakistan Economic Corridor which aims to develop stronger ties between Pakistan and China has become a menace for the locals.

The corridor goes through Pakistan&#39;s Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Sindh and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir&#39;s Gilgit-Baltistan.

The CPEC is being implemented against the will of the locals in Pakistan.
