<p>Citing an anonymous source, The Guardian reports that it appeared that the worker "intentionally stepped in front of the live engine". The report further added that this angle is also being investigated by the police.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Worker's identity yet to be released</strong></h2>

<p>As per local media reports, the deceased worker — whose identity is yet to be released to the public — was employed by Unifi Aviation, a company which the airline giant Delta contracts for ground crew operations.</p>

<p>"Our hearts go out to the family of the deceased, and we remain focused on supporting our employees on the ground and ensuring they are being taken care of during this time," said Unifi.</p>

<p>The statement added that "Out of respect for the deceased, we will not be sharing any additional information" at this time.</p>

<p>Speaking to San Antonio broadcaster KENS 5, Delta said that the company was "deeply saddened" by Friday night's events. It also said that it was "cooperating with authorities as they begin their investigation."</p>

<p>Unifi Aviation told the broadcaster the incident was "a tragic accident."</p>

<p>"From our initial investigation, this incident was unrelated to Unifi's operational processes, safety procedures and policies," the company said.</p>

<p>Last year, a ground worker was killed in a similar incident. On Wednesday, regional carrier Piedmont Airlines — a subsidiary of carrier American Airlines — was fined $15,625 by the regulatory body, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA),&nbsp;for the death.</p>

<p>"Proper training and enforcement of safety procedures could have prevented this tragedy," said an OSHA official, as reported by AFP.</p>

US: Airport worker dies after being sucked into plane engine; investigation underway

<p>A police officer from San Antonio, Texas, shot at a 17-year-old boy who was in his car eating a burger in the parking lot of McDonald's. The officer was later fired.</p>

<p>The victim, Erik Cantu, is hospitalised with multiple gunshot wounds and "fighting for his life", his attorney Brian Powers said on Saturday, NBC News reported.</p>

<p>The incident took place on October 2, following which the officer, James, was put on probationary notice. However, a video from the officer’s body cam went viral on Friday, triggering outrage. He was then sacked on Saturday.</p>

<p>According to reports, the San Antonio Officer was responding to an unrelated distress call at the fast-food restaurant when he saw Cantu, who was unarmed, inside the car, police training commander Alyssa Campos said in a statement on Wednesday.</p>

<p>"As the officer attempted to gather information from witnesses, he noticed a vehicle that had evaded him the day before as the officer attempted a stop because the registered license plate did not match the actual vehicle," Campos added.</p>

<p>He said that Cantu’s car was not the subject of the disturbance call.</p>

<p>According to Campos, the officer assumed that the car was stolen and called “for cover”, but he nonetheless approached the vehicle before others officers could arrive.</p>

<p>Brennand then started open fire “abruptly” and ordered Cantu to get out.</p>

<p>"Get out of the car," the officer says to Cantu, the video shows.</p>

<p>The body-camera footage, which was released by the department, shows Cantu in the driver's seat eating a hamburger with a 17-year-old girl in the passenger's seat.</p>

<p>After getting injured, Cantu immediately drove away and stopped nearby where he and the girl, who was not injured, were found by police.</p>

<p>“There is nothing I can say in defence of that officer’s actions that night,” Police Chief William McManus told WOAI-TV.</p>

<p>“I think what happened, initially, there was some contact made, but that did not justify the shooting.”</p>

<p>San Antonio Police Department officers were searching for the vehicle's driver who was missing from the scene, according to the New York Times.</p>

<p>San Antonio, which is about 160 miles (250 km) from the Mexican border, is currently experiencing high humidity.</p>

<p>Many&nbsp;undocumented migrants arrive in the United States by traveling by tractor-trailers which is a common though dangerous means.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Calling for urgent action to "dismantle human smuggling rings and replace them with expanded avenues for legal migration",&nbsp;the Democratic candidate running against&nbsp;Abbott,&nbsp;Beto O'Rourke&nbsp;said the reports were devastating.</p>

<p>Highlighting that the victims' nationalities were still unknown, Marcelo Ebrard, Mexico's Foreign Minister, said the country's consul was en route to the site of the discovery.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Any&nbsp;Mexicans involved in the incident will be provided aid, the&nbsp;Mexican General Consulate in San Antonio said on Twitter.</p>

<p>After&nbsp;being transported in a tractor-trailer that was discovered by San Antonio police in a Wal-Mart parking lot,&nbsp;ten migrants died in July 2017 and the driver was sentenced to life in prison for his role in the smuggling operation.</p>

Democrat Michael Bloomberg: 'I'm spending all my money to get rid of Trump'

<p>Zach Johnson sank a six-foot putt for birdie on his final hole for a four-under-par 68 to ensure a share of the lead with Andrew Landry on 13-under 203 after the third round of the Texas Open on Saturday.&nbsp</p>

<p>The pair were a stroke ahead of Trey Mullinax, who shot a course-record 62 at the Greg Norman-designed TPC San Antonio, and two stokes ahead of Ryan Moore (70).</p>

<p>Sean O`Hair (65), Jimmy Walker (67), Chris Kirk (68), and Scotland`s Martin Laird (69) were all tied for fifth at nine-under heading into the tournament`s final day.&nbsp</p>

<p>Landry jumped out to an early lead with birdies on three, five and six and picked up two more on 16 and 17 to finish the round bogey-free.&nbsp</p>

<p>Johnson mixed six birdies with two bogeys to stay on track for a third title at the tournament.</p>

<p>Mullinax, 25, had a career round in his 10-under 62 and jumped from tied for 25th at the start of his round to just one stroke back of the leaders.</p>

<p>He was especially hot on the back nine where he shot seven-under 29, closing with two eagles and two birdies in his last five holes.</p>
