<p>Raghav Juyal needs no introduction. After captivating the country with his dance moves and quirky humour, Juyal is now making waves with his acting performances.</p>

<p>In Nikhil Nagesh Bhat's <em>Kill,</em> Juyal shocked moviegoers with his performance as Fani, a brutal dacoit leader, earning widespread acclaim for his goriest and chilling performance. Following the success of his movie <em>Kill, </em>the actor switched to playing a cop in the Zee5 Global show <em>Gyaarah Gyaarah. &nbsp;</em></p>

<p>Now, Juyal is back with his villainous role on the big screen with his action-thriller <em>Yudhra,</em> co-starring Siddhant Chaturvedi.</p>

<p>Speaking exclusively to WION, Juyal reflected on how his whole job profile has changed suddenly post the success of the movie<em> Kill</em> and other acting projects. "My entire job profile has shifted suddenly," he shared.</p>

<p>While talking about acting, when asked whether he takes references from other actors or films to prepare for his role, Juyal was clear: "I don’t take references because it boxes me it limits me. And, I don’t want to be limited as an actor. So I don’t do references and it’s a big no-no. It’s very risky for an actor also.''</p>

<p>Sharing a tip for the budding actors, Raghav said, ''For the new actors I can say that you can be inspired by cinema and the films, but taking references for your character might be dangerous. It's the most dangerous thing for an actor to do. Because then it blocks your imagination and you will be influenced by something that has already been played by someone. You won’t be as individual as you want to be as an actor. So, I don’t do.''</p>

<p>Explaining his view further, he said, ''If you are playing the character of a sociopath or a psychopath, you can watch documentaries, &nbsp;their interviews and documentaries and try to study their criminal files and profiling. Those things help you form your behaviour&nbsp;according to your imagination. But, if you start thinking that if I want to become a villain then I must watch Joker from<em> The Batman, </em>then I will be another Joker. I won’t be a Raghav Juyal as Fani [A character in the movie <em>Kill]</em>.''</p>

As few passengers are killed in the scuffle, Amrit and his friend, fellow commando Viresh (Abhishek Chauhan) take the situation into their own hands to protect the passengers in the train which includes Tulika and her family.&nbsp;<br />

He has the best lines which he delivers at some of the crucial moments of the film. Those who have loved Juyal during his TV stint would find the actor's casting surprising- playing the cold, calculative man who doesn't wince or blink an eye when he kills. And Juyal delivers. And while Lakshya, with his biceps and triceps, flexes muscle and kills, Juyal plays the sarcastic villain to the hilt, who is easy on the eyes and yet the most dangerous. Tanya Maniktala has limited role in the film but her character is the catalyst to the plot. Wish there were more scenes of the beautiful and talented actress in the film though.&nbsp;</p>

There are moments when the dacoits want an escape from the mayhem that has unfolded on the train. As they see members of their family being brutally killed, they plead to the leader to abort the plan and deboard the train. They are also dacoits for a reason and Bhat very subtly highlights the state of the impoverished, the class divide and what leads the pack of dacoits to loot and plunder.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Considering the film is set on a moving train, it has limited space and hence it is crucial to keep the pace going. Cinematographer Rafey Mehmood's intrusive camera work and Shivkumar V. Panicker's skillful editing make the film very immersive. There are moments where you may wince due to the extreme gore that is playing out on screen, but nothing looks just for the sake of it. The film also highlights the importance of the foley artists and their work very effectively. A lot of the film relies on sound - just to create the impact it desires and the Foley work is stupendous. Every kick, punch, smashing of heads is felt. The film also boasts of great background score which enhances the fast-paced narrative.&nbsp;</p>

I must admit that I am not a fan of action films and I usually avoid this genre. Yet, I found myself glued to the screen while watching <em>Kill. </em>I knew how the story would pan out, yet the screenplay was so effective that I was hooked right from the beginning. It comes months after the release of <em>Animal</em> which too was a very violent film. But compared to <em>Animal,</em> which lost its plot post-interval, <em>Kill </em>picks up pace in the second half and twists the narrative - blurring the line between hero and anti-hero.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The teaser of new film <em>Kill</em> is not for the faint heart. Pitched as the film that will redefine the action genre in Indian cinema, <em>Kill </em>is replete with a gory action sequence. The teaser gives a glimpse of what's in store for the viewers in July when the film hits theatres. Co-produced by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga, <em>Kill </em>marks the debut of actor Lakshya and also features Raghav Juyal and Tanya Maniktala.&nbsp;<br />

<em>Kill </em>was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival 2023. The screening of the film, was attended by producers Karan Johar and Guneet Monga, Lakshya, CEO of Dharma Productions Apoorva Mehta, director Nagesh Bhat and actor Raghav Juyal. &nbsp;<br />

Lakshya, a Dharma talent, was earlier set to make his debut in <em>Bedhadak</em> which was set to be the launchpad of Sanjay Kapoor's daughter Shanaya Kapoor. However, the film was shelved. Lakshya will be now making his debut in <em>Kill</em>, which has already earned rave reviews in the international film festival circuit.&nbsp;<br />
