Pakistan has called off their scheduled cricket tour of Bangladesh this year, the country&#39;s board chairman Shaharyar Khan has said.

Bangladesh last toured Pakistan in 2007-08. Pakistan has since travelled to Bangladesh in 2011 and 2015 and were scheduled to play two tests, three ODIs and a Twenty20 International in July and August in the South Asian country.

Khan said Bangladesh had failed to reciprocate Pakistan&#39;s visits with the Bangladesh Cricket Board turning down an invitation to play two T20 internationals in Pakistan.

&quot;We had spoken about the possibility of hosting them (Bangladesh in Pakistan) this year,&quot; the PCB chairman told ESPNcricinfo.

&quot;Pakistan have now toured Bangladesh twice without them reciprocating, and we feel we cannot tour Bangladesh for the third straight time.

&quot;Therefore, we have decided to postpone the tour, and will explore another window in the next year or so.&quot;

At least 10 gunmen fired on a bus carrying Sri Lanka&#39;s cricket team in 2009 with rifles, grenades and rockets, wounding six players and a British coach, and killing eight Pakistanis.

Since then, Pakistan has been forced to play most of its &quot;home&quot; games in the United Arab Emirates.&nbsp;

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was investigating whether an international syndicate had attempted to influence matches in the Pakistan Super League, it said in a statement.

Both Sharjeel and Latif play for Islamabad United in the PSL, which is being played in Dubai due to security concerns in Pakistan, though the final will be staged on home soil.

&quot;Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif have been suspended and the rigorous and wide-ranging investigation by the PCB supported by the ICC will continue as part of collective efforts to protect the integrity of the sport,&quot; the PCB said.

Sharjeel played the opening match of the 2017 edition for defending champions Islamabad against Peshawar Zalmi, while Latif was not part of the playing XI.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has dropped its plans to allow allrounder Shahid Afridi to play his final T20 series for Pakistan before he retires from all international cricket.&nbsp; 
 
PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan and chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq had earlier given approval to Afridi to travel to UAE as the 16th player for the final match against the West Indies, a source informed Indian news agency PTI.&nbsp; 
 
But the plan was dropped after a senior member of the board Najam Sethi objected to the method being followed. He said giving Afridi a final chance to play would set a &quot;wrong example&quot;.&nbsp; 
 
&quot;Sethi made the point that the board would be setting a wrong example by including Afridi as the&nbsp;16th player just to give him a chance to play his farewell international match and it was not befitting for such a senior player,&quot; the source said. 
 
Sethi, according to the source, said the selectors would have allowed him in the 15-member squad for the West indies series had they felt Afridi was good enough to play for the country in T20 Internationals, reported &nbsp;PTI. 
 
&quot;Sethi&#39;s argument is logical and he made it clear that he would speak to Afridi himself and settle the matter. Sethi will now meet Afridi in last week of September and offer him the chance to accept a proper farewell event and announce his retirement,&quot; the source stated. 
 
&quot;Afridi might have played his final match for Pakistan if the plan given by Sethi is followed to the letter,&quot; he added.
