However,&nbsp;the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teertha Kshetra trust, which is overseeing the temple construction, is yet to make an official announcement about the same.</p>

<p lang="en-US">A voting was done by the trust on Friday to select the idol from three shortlisted designs.<br />

The Ram temple is set to be inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22.</p>

<p lang="en-US">The idol selected will be revealed to the public on January 17 during the 'nagar yatra'.&nbsp;</p>

<p lang="en-US">Sharing the news on X, Yediyurappa said, "The idol of Lord Rama sculpted by the sculptor Arun Yogiraj of Mysuru has been selected for installation in the magnificent Sri Rama Mandir of Ayodhya, which has doubled the pride and happiness of the entire Rama devotees of the state. Heartfelt congratulations to ‘Shilpi @yogiraj_arun'."</p>

<p lang="en-US">Union Minister Pralhad Joshi also later shared the news of Yogiraj's idol having been selected.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, BJP state president and Yediyurappa's son BY Vijayendra too appreciated Yogiraj for making Mysuru and the state proud.<br />

<p lang="en-US">While speaking to PTI news agency, sculptor Yogiraj said that no official communication had been made to him regarding the selection of the Ram idol for the temple.</p>

<p>As per Yogiraj, he was among the three sculptors who were finalised by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra for carving an idol of ‘Ram Lalla'.<br />

"I am happy that I was among the three sculptors from the country who were selected to carve the idol of ‘Ram Lalla'," said Yogiraj.<br />

The renowned artist who had sculpted Adi Shankaracharya's idol which was placed in Kedarnath, as well as Subhash Chandra Bose's statue which has been installed near Delhi's India Gate, said the challenge has not been easy for him.</p>

"Keeping the divinity aspect along with the child-like face in mind, I started my work about six to seven months ago. Now I am extremely happy. More than selection, people should appreciate it. Only then, I will be happy," the sculptor added.</p>

<p>As per the PTI report, the BJP party has over the years consistently emphasised the global recognition of Modi's leadership and India's heightened standing on the international stage in its political discourse.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Following the success of the G20 meeting, the party is expected to further tout this recognition. This is especially true as the party prepares for a series of state assembly elections and the subsequent Lok Sabha elections that will decide whether Modi wins a third term as the Prime Minister of India.</p>

<h2><strong>What was the CEC meeting about?</strong></h2>

<p>PTI reports that the CEC meeting's primary agenda was to finalise the selection of candidates for the upcoming elections in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.</p>

<p>During the previous CEC meeting held in August, BJP candidates for 39 seats in Madhya Pradesh and 21 seats in Chhattisgarh were named. These selections were made for constituencies where the BJP does not currently have incumbent MLAs.</p>

<p>In India, the states of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Mizoram will undergo assembly elections towards the end of this year — polls are scheduled for November-December. These will be the final round of state polls before the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.</p>

<p>PM Modi lauded the central university as a 'premier centre of learning' and reminisced about the old days when DU only had three colleges.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Delhi University has completed 100 years when the nation celebrates 75 years of independence... Delhi University is not just a university, but a movement. This university has lived every movement and has brought life to every movement," said PM Modi.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The University of Delhi was established on 1 May, 1922 and has expanded to have 86 departments, 90 Colleges, and more than 600,000 students in the past 100 years.</p>

To improve the quality of educational institutes, we are working continuously. There were around 100 startups in India before 2014, today the number has crossed 1 lakh."</p>
