This proved to be the right step as the aquarium sent two experts at the restaurant to check what the matter was. It was observed to be an extremely rare orange lobster, rarer even than even blue lobster.</p>

<p>As reported by CNN, the experts carefully packed up the lobster and brought it at Ripley's Marine Science Research Center. The lobster will acclimate at the research center before heading to the aquarium.</p>

<p>“Sometimes ordinary miracles happen, and Cheddar is one of them,” said Mario Roque, a manager at Red Lobster who led the rescue of Cheddar. He was quoted in a press release by Red Lobster restaurant.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“ A group of incredible people helped us make this possible. We are so honored to have been able to save Cheddar and find her a good home.”</p>

Extremely rare orange lobster almost became a meal but didn't

<p>A fisherman in the United States caught a giant lobster and claims it is 100-year-old. Jacob Knowles, who shared the video on social media forums also said that the particular lobster was probably captured by his ancestors too.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Fisherman Knowles shared the video on his Instagram account, which was originally posted to TikTok. In the video, he can be seen holding the lobster. Knowles shared details about the lobster.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the Instagram post, Knowles said that "this is quite possibly the biggest lobster we have ever caught." He also gave a closer glimpse of the gigantic lobster in the camera.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Knowles explained in the post that the only reason his team was able to catch it was because of his small claws. He also revealed that at some point in his life the lobster lost his claws, however, some new claws grew back.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"So unfortunately his claws don't match his body but if you look at his body, it's very impressive," Knowles said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The study by LSE experts has concluded that cephalopods ( like squids, octopuses and cuttlefish) and decapods (crabs and other animals) are sentient. The report recommends that lobsters and crabs shouldn't be boiled alive as they are sentient beings capable of feeling pain. The report has also suggested best practices.</p>

<p>"The Animal Welfare Sentience Bill provides a crucial assurance that animal wellbeing is rightly considered when developing new laws. The science is now clear that decapods and cephalopods can feel pain and therefore it is only right they are covered by this vital piece of legislation," said Animal Welfare Minister Lord Zac Goldsmith in a statement published on UK government website.</p>

<p>The legislation is not yet a law. When the law comes to effect, it will establish an Animal Sentience Committee</p>

<p>This committee will observe and make reports on to what extent government would have taken into account sentient animal welfare.</p>

<p>It is unclear how many cotton candy-coloured lobsters are present in the wild, as per National Geographic. &nbsp;</p>

<p>This unique colour is due to a genetic condition, known as leucism, where there is a partial loss of pigmentation, say scientists. &nbsp;</p>

<p>In 2018, a Canadian lobsterman had also caught a lobster lacking pigmentation in this way. According to the Portland Press-Herald, it was then donated to the Huntsman Marine Science Centre aquarium in Saint Andrews. &nbsp;</p>
