"Most of the victims are women and children, and people are trying to save the injured, but there are no hospitals or proper medical care," he told AFP.

The bodies of 15 people killed in the strike were brought to Kamal Adwan Hospital, its director Hussam Abu Safia told AFP.

"We are still receiving a number of martyrs and wounded," Safia said, adding that the hospital was struggling to treat patients due to a lack of staff and medicines.

"There is nothing left in the Kamal Adwan Hospital except first aid materials after the army arrested our medical team and workers when they invaded the hospital during the military operation in Jabalia," Safia said.

Last week, the Gaza health ministry said Israeli troops had stormed the hospital, while the Israeli military said it was operating around it.

"The enemy has committed another horrific massacre against our people, and northern Gaza is being subjected to a campaign of ethnic cleansing and systematic displacement," Hamas said in a statement condemning the Beit Lahia attack.

Among those targeted in the precise airstrike were two senior Hamas officials - Yassin Rabia and Khaled Nagar.

The IDF described Rabia as managing Hamas' terrorist activities in Judea and Samaria, transferring funds to terrorist targets, and planning multiple attacks that resulted in the deaths of IDF soldiers.

Nagar, a senior official in Hamas’ Judea and Samaria Headquarters, was said to have directed shooting attacks and other terrorist activities and transferred funds intended for Hamas’ terrorist activities in Gaza. Death toll after Israeli strike on Rafah camp rises to 45: Gaza health ministry

An Israeli drone strike in central Syria killed two Hezbollah fighters on Saturday (May 25), said a war monitor.

"An Israeli drone fired two missiles at a Hezbollah car and truck near the town of Qusayr in Homs province, as they were on their way to Al-Dabaa military airport, killing at least two Hezbollah fighters and wounding others," said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

This was the third Israeli strike against Lebanon's Iran-backed targets in Syria in about a week's time.

Earlier, Israeli strikes hit the Qusayr area, in the vicinity of the Lebanese border, and killed two men, said Observatory, a Britain-based monitor with a network of sources in Syria.

At least one out of the deceased was a Hezbollah fighter, the news agency AFP reported citing a source of the militant group.

Another strike, on May 18, targeted "a Hezbollah commander and his companion", the Observatory said. It did not report any casualties.

Israel has repeatedly stated that it will not let its arch-foe Iran expand its presence in Syria.

Israel has carried out several strikes in Syria since the civil war in its northern neighbour broke out, primarily aiming at army positions and Iran-backed fighters including from Hezbollah.

The strikes multiplied since the outbreak of Israel's war with Hamas in the Gaza Strip, on Oct 7, when the Palestinian militant group launched an unprecedented attack against Israel.

Last month, Syria had accused Israel of launching attacks targeting army positions.

Syria's defence ministry released a statement saying, "The Israeli enemy carried out an attack using missiles... targeting our air defence sites in the southern region" and causing material damage.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor said that Israel hit the army radar position in the southern province of Daraa that had detected the entry of Israeli planes into Syria's airspace.

Head of the Britain-based Observatory, Rami Abdel Rahman said that the air offensive occurred at the time "when the Israeli air force was flying intensively over the Daraa region".

Syria's foreign ministry condemned "in the strongest terms" Friday's "Israeli aggression and the attacks before it on its territory".

Syria called on "the international community and the United Nations... to take all deterrence measures to stop" the Israeli attacks, the ministry said in a statement carried by state news agency SANA.

Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh confirmed that three of his sons and a number of grandchildren had been killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza on Wednesday (Apr 10), in an interview. He also accused Israel of acting in “the spirit of revenge and murder.”

A report by Hamas media also said that two of Haniyeh’s grandchildren were also killed in the attack and a third was wounded.&nbsp;

In an interview with Al Jazeera Arabic, the Hamas leader confirmed the death of his sons saying that they were “martyred on the road to liberating Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.”

“Through the blood of the martyrs and the pain of the injured, we create hope, we create the future, we create independence and freedom for our people and our nation,” said Haniyeh.&nbsp;

Hezbollah, the Lebanese ally of Hamas, has exchanged near-daily fire with Israel since the ongoing war erupted between Hamas and Israel in October. The Palestinian groups in Lebanon have also claimed cross-border attacks.&nbsp;

Yousef Nimer, who witnessed an overnight raid on the West Bank city of Jenin, alleged that Israeli forces fired at people he was sitting with outside a hospital as they finished Suhur, the last meal before sunrise during the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.&nbsp;

"I told them, look, there is something coming towards us. We ran away, then a sniper started to shoot at us," said 16-year-old Nimer as quoted by Reuters. He was wounded and pointed to a hole in one of the hospital's walls which he said had been made by a bullet.&nbsp;

"Some crawled and some ran away. The people who ran away got injured and those who crawled were saved," he added.&nbsp;

Two high-ranking Iranian military advisers along with three others were killed in a strike launched by Israel on the Syrian capital Damascus on Saturday (Jan 20), according to Iranian media reports.

"Two high-ranking Iranian advisers were martyred in today's attack by the Zionist regime (Israel) in the Mazzeh neighbourhood of Damascus," Iran's Mehr news agency said, quoting an informed but unnamed source.

The attack claimed the life of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards' intelligence chief for Syria, his deputy as well as two other Guards members on Saturday, reported Iranian media.

"The Revolutionary Guards' Syria intel chief, his deputy and two other Guards members were martyred in the attack on Syria by Israel," Iran's Mehr news agency said, quoting an informed but unnamed source.

The Revolutionary Guards also released a statement saying that four of its members were left dead in the strike on the Syrian capital further condemning Israel for the attack.

As per the official Syrian news agency SANA, a residential building was targeted in the strike which was situated in the Mazzeh neighbourhood of Damascus.

However, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor said that the Israeli strike hit a four-storey building where "Iran-aligned leaders" were holding a meeting.

"An Israeli missile strike targeted a four-storey building, killing five people... and destroying the whole building where Iran-aligned leaders were meeting," said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based organisation that relies on a network of sources on the ground.
