The IBA says it will pay gold, silver and bronze medallists bonuses from a total budget of $3.1 million.

World Athletics' move has attracted criticism from other federations and IOC president Thomas Bach has distanced himself from the move.

In an interview with AFP in April, Bach said: "The international federations have to treat all their member federations and their athletes on an equal basis and to try to balance this gap between the privileged and the less or under-privileged."

Earlier, a BFI official said that India has waved a yellow card to appeal against how the Indian pugilist was scored in the match, but one needs to confirm for the official word.

"We have appealed, the yellow card has been given. But we have to wait for confirmation," a BFI official told ANI.

Despite the appeal being turned down, Mary Kom is still continuing to question the referee's decision. After losing the match, she was seen very surprised at how she was scored by the match officials.

She took to Twitter and shared the entire match's video.

In Group Americas, Season VII Finalists Cuba Domadores will be looking to equal the Arlans' record and win a third title of their own, but face stiff competition from Colombia Heroicos and Venezuela Caciques. Among the boxers taking part will be a host of champions and medallists from the 2017 AIBA World Championships in Hamburg. The 11 teams will be able to recruit available national and international boxers to their squads. WSB has now closed its foreign boxer registrations for Season VIII, with 196 foreign entries confirmed from 42 different countries. Boxers at the beginning of their professional careers are welcome to participate, the AIBA stated. The deadline for teams to recruit from the available list will be mid-January.
