"This involves a fine for the first offence followed by the suspension but the impact of these measures appears minimal, roughly equivalent to the weight loss of an obese gentleman who orders two giant hamburgers and a diet Coke.

"One easy fix could be to reduce the break between innings from the current 20 minutes to a manageable 10 minutes."

Earlier this month, Hyderabad coach Tom Moody had suggested penalty on the team's net run rate - a rule enforced in the Caribbean Premier League - instead of monetary fine for slow over rates.

De Villiers said such drastic steps would only hurt the competition.

"Some have proposed larger fines, net run rate penalties and points deductions but the competition should not be distorted, De Villiers added.

Chennai got off to a cautious start as both openers Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis took their time in getting adjusted with the pitch conditions and as a result, Chennai could only score 41 runs in the first six overs.

However, the duo decided to step on the accelerator and they started to hammer the hosts for regular boundaries.&nbsp;

Both Watson and du Plessis stitched together a partnership of 79 runs before Shahbaz Nadeem clean bowled Watson (31) sending him back to the pavilion.

Chennai suffered big blows in the middle overs as du Plessis (45), stand-in skipper Suresh Raina (13) and Kedhar Jadhav (0) were dismissed in quick succession reducing the team to 99 for four in the 14th over.

"It's pretty important to have confidence, the World Cup is a big stage and this is the first time I'm playing," Pandya told reporters after helping Mumbai beat visitors Bangalore on Monday.

"I was out of the game for some time... Everyone has setbacks and I wanted to improve, I got some time for my body as well. The time I spent out (of the game) is helping me right now because I'm in a good mind space."

Needing 172 to beat Bangalore, Pandya walked in at 129-4 and smashed 37 not out off 16 balls to give Mumbai their fifth win of the season.

"For me it was important to keep hitting the ball well," he said. "I've been doing this (finishing games) for four years now. That's my role in any team I play for.

"It's all about playing according to the situation if you're smart enough you will get the result you desire."

Pandya said he hoped the pitches in England had not changed since their 2017 Champions Trophy campaign when India finished as runners-up. He averaged 52.50 with the bat in that tournament with a strike rate close to 200.

"The last time we went to England a lot of people said it would be cold with swinging conditions but when we went there... I've never played on flat wickets like that before," Pandya said.

"Depending on the conditions, and if we have the same situation like we did in the Champions Trophy, then it will be helpful."

Hyderabad were 101 for 3 in 15.2 overs when Ricky Bhui fell to Paul but after that they lost seven wickets for the addition of just 15 runs.&nbsp;

Morris took three wickets in the space of five balls in the 18th over as the stunned home crowd watched their side's batsmen capitulating without much fight as the innings folded at 116 in 18.5 overs.&nbsp;

David Warner, who top-scored with a 47-ball 51, was out in the 17th over off Rabada to trigger a procession of Hyderabad batsmen towards the dressing room.&nbsp;

Rabada and Morris took all these six wickets as Hyderabad surrendered tamely.

With the win, the Delhi jumped to the second spot with 10 points from eight matches while the Hyderabad are at the sixth spot after their third consecutive loss.

The Hyderabad openers Warner and Jonny Bairstow (41) made a watchful start as they looked for accumulating runs without taking risks. Warner was uncharacteristically slow and it was left to Bairstow to take the chances.

Bhui's dismissal in the 16th over piled on further pressure on the Hyderabad. The asking rate climbed up to 13 an over at the end of 16th over and the home side wilted under pressure with Warner finally falling in the 17th over bowled by Rabada as the batsman hit straight to the hands of captain Shreyas Iyer.

Bangladesh will ask star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan to return from Indian Premier League and join the team's World Cup preparation camp next week, the nation's Cricket Board said Monday.

Shakib is currently in India with IPL franchise&nbsp; Hyderabad.&nbsp;

“Our camp is beginning. I have asked to send a letter to Shakib immediately to come back. Let’s see how he responds to this,” said Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hassan in Dhaka.
