<p>In the Kuno National Park (KNP) in Madhya Pradesh, a female cheetah named Daksha, who had been brought from South Africa, was killed during a fight with other cheetahs inside the park. As per PTI reports, Daksha was killed after a "violent interaction" with the Phinda adult male coalition, also known as the White Walkers, which included Vayu and Agni.&nbsp;&nbsp;Kuno has lost three cheetahs including Daksha, since the cats were brought from South Africa and Namibia.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Since last year, nine cheetahs have been introduced to the national park, of which two died in March and April.</p>

<p>A captive-bred cheetah named Sasha passed away in March from kidney failure that she had been suffering from ever since she was brought to India. She started showing signs of weakness and exhaustion on January 23, at which point authorities tranquillised her and sent her to a quarantine area where she would receive care.</p>

<p>The second Cheetah, Uday, was discovered sick in the national park in April and passed away while receiving treatment.</p>

<p>According to the ministry, the cheetahs would be permitted to leave KNP and won't necessarily be recaptured unless they venture into areas where they are in significant danger.</p>

<h2><strong>India's&nbsp;cheetah reintroduction operation</strong></h2>

<p>Four of the eight cheetahs that were brought over from Namibia have so far been freed from their caged acclimatisation camps and placed in the KNP's free-range habitat.</p>

<p>In September 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released eight cheetahs that had been brought in from Namibia into a special enclosure at the Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh.</p>

<p>As part of the cheetah reintroduction operation, the cheetahs were flown in a special jet from Namibia to Gwalior. Later, two Indian Air Force helicopters transported the animals to the national park.</p>

<p>In February, 12 additional cheetahs arrived in India from South Africa. The second group of cheetahs arrived at the Air Force base in Gwalior before being sent to Kuno National Park.</p>

<h2><strong>Cheetah went extinct in India in 1952</strong></h2>

<p>In the majority of countries, cheetah numbers are dropping. South Africa is an exception to this trend because there is no more space for the cats there.</p>

<p>These majestic animals, known as "the smallest of the big cats," can reportedly outrun the fastest Yamaha bike. Due to intensive poaching during the time before independence, they became extinct in India in 1952. In 1948, a cheetah was last seen in the Sal forests of Chhattisgarh's Koriya district.<br />

The older Bhutto's American biographer Stanley Wolpert says that then-young Bhutto mistook the diminutive Shastri for a weakling and decided to push his country's military ruler Ayub Khan to invade Kashmir in 1965. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Pakistan lost the war badly. Bhutto resigned and rose in protest against the army ruler (much like Imran Khan did as PM recently) after joining the general in negotiating a peace treaty with Shastri, who died tragically and mysteriously in Tashkent where the treaty was signed. Uzbekistan is now part of the SCO, and memories of Tashkent come creeping in.</p>

<p>A Namaste in Goa cannot ease up relations between India and Pakistan any more than an elegantly worn saree did in Shimla in 1972. Pakistan's existential political weapons for mobilising mass support are Islam and Kashmir, and that does not appear to have changed despite Pakistan sinking deeply into an economic crisis.</p>

<p>We can always debate if demagogic politics is an escape from bad economics or &nbsp;if economic crises are caused by bad politics. Despite being liberals in their personal lives and amiable in their social behaviour, the Bhuttos have their political capital in the rhetoric that feeds Pakistan's masses. &nbsp;Unless that changes, little can be expected from the family that may still have the best interests of the average Pakistani in its hearts.</p>

<p>After attending a special screening of 'The Kerala Story' in India’s southern state Karnataka, the country's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda hailed the film saying that it exposes a new, poisonous form of terrorism in which ammunition is not used.</p>

<p>"There's a new type of terrorism which is without ammunition, 'The Kerala Story' exposes that poisonous terrorism. We have heard of terrorism that involves guns, weapons, and ammunition. But this is a dangerous kind of terrorism. This kind of terrorism isn't related to any state or religion," he said.</p>

<p>"The movie shows how youths are being influenced and made to follow wrong paths," the BJP chief added.</p>

<p>Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Friday, while addressing an election rally in Karnataka, backed 'The Kerala Story' saying that the film is based on a terror conspiracy and shows the ugly truth of terrorism.</p>

<p>While reacting to the ongoing controversy surrounding 'The Kerala Story', PM Modi accused the Congress party of opposing the film and standing with terror tendencies.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"The Congress has kneeled down before the terror outfits when in power. We have suffered because of the violence for very long and Congress never protected this country from terrorism. I am surprised to see that Congress has succumbed to terrorism for the sake of its vote bank. Can such a party ever save Karnataka?," he said while addressing the rally in Ballari ahead of upcoming elections in southern Karnataka state on May 10.</p>

<p>The plot of the movie, which the makers claim is based on true events, revolves around the story of women from non-Muslim communities who went missing from Kerala and were recruited into ISIS after they were converted.&nbsp;</p>
