Marco Rubio says Israel-Lebanon peace is possible but hinges on Lebanon’s ability to confront Hezbollah and sustain a lasting ceasefire

Israel-Lebanon peace 'achievable', but not easy. What’s really blocking it? Rubio answers

Hezbollah is believed to have developed an extensive underground “missile city,” a network of tunnels designed to store and protect weapons from aerial attacks. These fortified systems allow mobility, concealment, and rapid deployment, complicating targeting efforts. Analysts say such infrastructure reflects evolving asymmetric warfare tactics, raising concerns about escalation and the challenges of neutralising hidden military assets in conflict zones.

Hezbollah is reportedly deploying fiber-optic guided drones on the battlefield.
These drones are controlled via cables, making them harder to jam or intercept. The technology allows precise navigation even in electronic warfare environments.

Hezbollah's New Weapon: Fiber Optic Drones Explained

Hezbollah’s growing use of FPV (first-person view) drones is reshaping the battlefield and challenging traditional air defense systems in the region. Military analysts say the small, low-flying drones are harder to detect on radar and can overwhelm defenses through swarm-style tactics.
