<p>In the wake of Gujarat election, the fare prices of flights and trains have increased.</p>

<p>The increase in the fare price is due to the increase in the number of passengers.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The fare price of a flight for a day before the first phase of election and the election day is charged at Rs 4400 Rs. While the usual fares for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad economy class is Rs 2000.</p>

<p>The usual 3000-3500 ticket for Vadodara is charged for Rs 4500-15000 before the election day. The same ticket is availed for Rs 4500 to Rs 6500 on the election day.</p>

<p>The tickets for Jamnagar have also been increased. The tickets for Mumbai-Jamnagar on 8 December is available at Rs 4500 to 15,000. While the tickets for 7000 is being charged for Rs 9000 on the election day.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The&nbsp;ticket for Rajkot usually available for Rs 4000- 5000 have also been increased. The tickets on 8-9 December is priced at Rs 8,000-14,000.</p>

<p>All sleeper to AC trains have released huge waiting lists. Passengers going from Mumbai to Ahmedabad have ticket in premium trains. However normal trains have waiting in sleeper and AC.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Most trains do not even have waiting tickets available during elections.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The railway officials have said that keeping in mind the increasing number of waiting tickets they can add few additional coaches.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the government prevailing during the 2008 Mumbai attacks had declined the plan of surgical strikes that was offered to the then prime minister.</p>

<p>Citing an Air Force official working at a high position in 2008, he said that the government were offered to conduct surgical strikes in response&nbsp;to the deadly terror attacks on Mumbai. However, the&nbsp;then government&nbsp;refused to carry out the counter attacks on Pakistan.</p>

<p>Three Congress party workers were on Saturday detained by the police outside the residence of Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani after a scuffle between Congress workers led by the party&#39;s election candidate Indranil Rajyaguru and BJP workers.</p>

<p>Those detained include Rajkot West Congress candidate Rajyaguru, who is contesting the upcoming assembly elections against the Gujarat chief minister from Rajkot West, Rajkot East Congress candidate Mitul Donga, and another party worker, police said.</p>

<p>&quot;Scuffle broke out between Congress and BJP workers over the issue of tearing of posters. Brother of Rajyaguru, Deep was injured in the the scuffle,&quot; Joint Commissioner of police Dipak Bhatt told the press.</p>

<p>&quot;Rajyaguru with a large group of Congress workers rushed to the residence of Rupani. We tried to reason it out with him but they wanted to take law in their hand,&quot; Bhatt said.</p>

BJP didn&rsquo;t portray anyone as a CM candidate in Uttar Pradesh but still won the elections.<br />

BJP leadership has been insensitive towards Gujarati people. Look at the way the BJP leadership removed a woman Chief Minister of Gujarat. This conspiracy was hatched by BJP leaders to remove Anandiben Patel as the CM.<br />

Gujarat elections will be one-sided contest: Union Minister Jitendra Singh tells WION

<p>Ahead of the next month&#39;s Assembly elections in Gujarat, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, who is on the first day of his two-day campaign tour of Gujarat, on Friday addressed farmers at the coastal town of Porbandar.<br />

The Congress vice-president alleged that because of the pollution caused by 10-15 industrialists, who were &quot;Modiji&#39;s friends&quot;, the fishermen were forced to venture deep into the sea.</p>

<p>&quot;I have learnt that now you have to go deeper into the sea to catch fish. Why? Because of pollution. But, who caused this? Definitely not the fishermen. It was caused by some 10- 15 industrialists who are Modiji&#39;s friends...He took all your money and gave it to those 10-15 persons,&quot; he alleged.</p>

<p>Rahul Gandhi added that instead of doing anything concrete for the fishermen, Modi has gifted ports to &quot;some of his industrialist friends&quot;.</p>

<p>He also criticised the BJP-led government in Gujarat for stopping the Rs 300 crore subsidy that the Congress government gave to fishermen to buy diesel for their boats, and claimed that on the other hand, during Narendra Modi&#39;s tenure as chief minister, &nbsp;the Gujarat government gave away Rs 33,000 crore to Tata Motors for its Nano car plant.</p>

<p>&quot;When Congress was in power, fishermen used to get 25 per cent subsidy on the purchase of diesel. That subsidy, which was just Rs 300 crore (per annum), has been abolished by the BJP government here. What kind of magic is this? They can give Rs 33,000 crore for Nano factory but they can&#39;t give Rs 300 crore to you,&quot; he asked.</p>

<p>Rahul Gandhi also promised to create a separate ministry for fisheries if the party came to power at the Centre.</p>

<p>&quot;Fishermen&#39;s work is equivalent to that of farmers. Sometime back, you demanded that if there is a ministry to look after the agriculture sector, then why not for fishermen? I agree with you, and I promise that the Congress will set it up after forming the government at the Centre,&quot; Rahul Gandhi said.</p>

<p>Taking a jibe at Modi&#39;s radio programme &#39;Mann ki Baat&#39;, the Congress leader promised that the doors of Congress government will be opened once the party comes to power in Gujarat.</p>

<p>He expressed confidence that the Congress will emerge victorious in the state, where the party has been out of power for 22 years.</p>

<p>&quot;I am confident that the Congress will win this election. After that, doors of the Chief Minister&#39;s Office and the Assembly will be opened for you, so that you can tell us your &#39;mann ki baat&#39;. Till now, those doors were open only for the rich, and only their voice was heard. Your voice never reached the government,&quot; he alleged.</p>

<p>Rahul Gandhi will interact with Dalits, doctors, teachers and villagers during his two-day visit which covers Porbandar, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Arvalli, Mahisagar and Dahod districts.</p>

<p>Polling for the two-phase elections in the state, having a total of 182 seats, will take place on December 9 and 14.</p>

<p>Counting of votes will take place on December 18.</p>

<p>Eighty-nine seats of Saurashtra and south Gujarat region are going to polls in the first phase. The remaining 93 seats in the central and northern region will vote in the second phase.&nbsp;</p>

Ahead of the next month's Assembly elections in Gujarat, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, who is on the first day of his two-day campaign tour of Gujarat, on Friday addressed farmers at the coastal town of Porbandar. The Congress vice-president alleged that because of the pollution caused by 10-15 industrialists, who were "Modiji's friends", the fishermen were forced to venture deep into the sea. "I have learnt that now you have to go deeper into the sea to catch fish. Why? Because of pollution. But, who caused this? Definitely not the fishermen. It was caused by some 10- 15 industrialists who are Modiji's friends...He took all your money and gave it to those 10-15 persons," he alleged. Rahul Gandhi added that instead of doing anything concrete for the fishermen, Modi has gifted ports to "some of his industrialist friends". He also criticised the BJP-led government in Gujarat for stopping the Rs 300 crore subsidy that the Congress government gave to fishermen to buy diesel for their boats, and claimed that on the other hand, during Narendra Modi's tenure as chief minister, the Gujarat government gave away Rs 33,000 crore to Tata Motors for its Nano car plant. "When Congress was in power, fishermen used to get 25 per cent subsidy on the purchase of diesel. That subsidy, which was just Rs 300 crore (per annum), has been abolished by the BJP government here. What kind of magic is this? They can give Rs 33,000 crore for Nano factory but they can't give Rs 300 crore to you," he asked. Rahul Gandhi also promised to create a separate ministry for fisheries if the party came to power at the Centre. "Fishermen's work is equivalent to that of farmers. Sometime back, you demanded that if there is a ministry to look after the agriculture sector, then why not for fishermen? I agree with you, and I promise that the Congress will set it up after forming the government at the Centre," Rahul Gandhi said. Taking a jibe at Modi's radio programme 'Mann ki Baat', the Congress leader promised that the doors of Congress government will be opened once the party comes to power in Gujarat. He expressed confidence that the Congress will emerge victorious in the state, where the party has been out of power for 22 years. "I am confident that the Congress will win this election. After that, doors of the Chief Minister's Office and the Assembly will be opened for you, so that you can tell us your 'mann ki baat'. Till now, those doors were open only for the rich, and only their voice was heard. Your voice never reached the government," he alleged. Rahul Gandhi will interact with Dalits, doctors, teachers and villagers during his two-day visit which covers Porbandar, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Arvalli, Mahisagar and Dahod districts. Polling for the two-phase elections in the state, having a total of 182 seats, will take place on December 9 and 14. Counting of votes will take place on December 18. Eighty-nine seats of Saurashtra and south Gujarat region are going to polls in the first phase. The remaining 93 seats in the central and northern region will vote in the second phase. <p>The ruling BJP has been barred from using the term &quot;Pappu&quot; in their electronic advertisement for the upcoming assembly elections in the state.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The term is often used to describe Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi.</p>

<p>Calling the term &quot;derogatory&quot;&nbsp;the Election Commission in Gujarat has asked to remove or replace it.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The media committee under the Gujarat Chief Electoral Officer(CEO) objected to the word &quot;pappu&quot; which was mentioned in the BJP&#39;s script of advertising, BJP sources cited. The script was submitted to the media committee for approval.</p>

<p>Clarifying itself, the BJP said the script of the advertisement did not &quot;link the word to any individual&quot;.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A BJP leader said that they asked the Election Commission to reconsider their decision as there was no direct reference to any person with the term. However, the request was rejected by the EC.</p>

<p>The leader later assured to replace the word and submit a new script to the Election Commission.&nbsp;<br />

All political parties need to submit their script related to the election advertisement to the EC. The parties can continue with the advertisement only after they get a certificate of approval from the commission.</p>

<p>Patel is still to react to the second video, but he had blamed the release of the first video on the BJP.&nbsp;</p>
