Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has called for the execution of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. In a statement amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, Khamenei denounced the Israeli leaders for their role in the military operations against Gaza. The call for death threats against Netanyahu and Gallant highlights the growing tensions and animosity in the Middle East surrounding the war.

Israel-Gaza War: Israel Strikes South Beirut, Hezbollah Responds With Rockets

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said on Monday (Nov 25) that Israel should occupy the Gaza Strip and "encourage" half of its population to emigrate within two years.

Around 2.2 million Palestinians live in Gaza.

Smotrich gave the statement while speaking at a conference organised by the Yesha Council, an umbrella group representing Israeli municipalities in the West Bank on Monday.

He was reported saying, "It is possible to create a situation where Gaza’s population will be reduced to half its current size in two years.”

Netanyahu's minister even claimed “It won’t cost too much money" to Israel.

He continued by saying that even if it does cost much to Israel, it "should not be afraid to pay for it."

Netanyahu's minister says voluntary emigration 'only way' Israel could occupy Gaza

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has worsened as severe floods devastate already displaced populations amidst the ongoing Israel-Hamas war. Thousands of people are facing dire conditions, with limited access to food, shelter, and medical care, compounding the suffering caused by the conflict. The floods have further strained the region’s resources, exacerbating the challenges for aid organizations.

The Israel-Gaza conflict has become the deadliest on record for aid workers, with increasing numbers of humanitarian staff killed or injured while attempting to provide assistance in the region. The escalation has significantly impacted relief efforts amid growing violence.

Israel-Gaza War: Gaza Conflict Sets New Record As The Deadliest For Aid Workers

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of committing war crimes, citing his role in actions that have escalated the ongoing conflict. The accusation adds further international scrutiny to Israel's military operations.

ICC Accuses Israel PM Netanyahu Of Committing War

Reacting to the arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against him on Thursday (Nov 21), Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the decision "antisemitic."

"The antisemitic (anti-Jews) decision of the international court in The Hague is a modern Dreyfus trial, and it will end the same way," Netanyahu said in a video posted on his X account.

The Dreyfus trial was a political and judicial scandal in France between 1894 and 1906.

A Jewish French Army officer Alfred Dreyfus was wrongfully convicted in that trial in the case of treason of selling military secrets to the Germans.

In the arrest warrants, the ICC accused Netanyahu and his former Defence secretary Yoav Gallant of crimes against humanity and war crimes of forceful starvation in Gaza.

"Now in International Court in The Hague, also headed by a French judge, is repeating this outrageous offence. It is falsely accusing me, the democratically elected Prime Minister of the state of Israel and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant of deliberately targeting civilians. This is when we do all in our power to avoid civilian casualties," Netanyahu said in the video.

Netanyahu further defended himself by saying that Israeli authorities send out evacuation messages to the civilians in Gaza through all means to prevent them from harm. He accused that Hamas, on the other hand, uses civilians as a human shield.

The ICC also alleged that Netanyahu restricted essential humanitarian aid to Gaza such as food, water and medical assistance.

Netanyahu shunned the accusation saying the ICC falsely accused him of "deliberately" starving Gazans. He claimed Israel served Gaza civilians with 700,000 tons of food.

"In the last few weeks, Israel facilitated the vaccination of 97 per cent of the people of Gaza against polio. This doesn't prevent the court from accusing us of genocide," said Netanyahu in the posted video.

"Nor did the court do anything against the Hamas terrorists who raped our women, beheaded our men, burnt babies alive in front of their parents and kidnapped hundreds of men, women and children to the underground dungeons of Gaza," Netanyahu said.

He further warned that the ICC and those who support this decision will have to face "severe consequences."

"Our enemies are your enemies. Our victory will be your victory. The victory of civilisation over barbarism and tyranny," said Netanyahu at the end.

The United States has vetoed a resolution at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) demanding an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. Watch this report for more details!

US Vetoes UN Resolution Demanding Immediate End to Gaza War

Senior US and Israeli officials will meet in early December to address American concerns over harm to civilians caused by military operations in Gaza, the State Department said Tuesday.

The United States has regularly voiced concerns to key ally Israel over American-supplied weapons being used in strikes that have killed civilians in the Gaza Strip.

However, it has only once exercised the ultimate US leverage — holding some of the billions of dollars in military aid to Israel.

The State Department has also opened several investigations into Israeli strikes using US-supplied weapons that killed Gaza civilians. But no conclusions have been made public, and US military aid has continued to flow.

The December meeting will be the first of a new channel designed to "inform the ongoing work that the State Department has to do to make assessments about the use of US-provided weapons," spokesperson Matthew Miller said.

Israel's use of the weapons would breach US law if it were determined the country had deliberately targeted and killed civilians, and US authorities are looking at specific instances to see whether that is the case.

"There are a number of incidents that we have had questions about and we've had concerns about," Miller said.

He added that "we set up this new channel because we wanted to formalize a mechanism for getting answers to some of these questions."

Miller declined to specify where the meeting would take place.

The Biden administration has long called for such a channel, which was included in a letter Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin sent to Israel in mid-October.

The letter additionally gave Israel a month to allow more assistance into Gaza or face cutoffs of some US weapons.

However, the United States ultimately decided not to take action, despite Israel not meeting metrics on the number of aid trucks and a new UN-backed assessment warning of imminent famine in Gaza.

Earlier Tuesday, a handful of left-leaning senators called on the Biden administration to halt arms sales to Israel, accusing the United States of playing a key role in the "atrocities" of the war in Gaza.

The health ministry in Hamas-run Gaza says the death toll from the ongoing war has reached 43,972 people, the majority civilians. The United Nations considers the figures reliable.

The war first began when Hamas militants attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, resulting in the deaths of 1,206 people, mostly civilians, according to an AFP tally of Israeli official figures.

Israel-Hezbollah War: Two IDF Soldiers Killed In Lebanon and Gaza

Gaza's Hamas-run interior ministry said Monday (Nov 18) that at least 20 people were killed in an operation targeting "gangs" that looted trucks bringing aid into the war-torn territory threatened with famine.

The Guardian reported that gunmen attacked and looted around 100 trucks carrying desperately needed supplies in the war-hit zone. The attack was reported to be the biggest during 13 months of the Israel-Hamas war.

"More than 20 members of gangs involved in stealing aid trucks were killed in a security operation carried out by security forces in cooperation with tribal committees," the ministry said in a statement, according to AFP.

"Today's security operation will not be the last," it said, adding that "the phenomenon of truck thefts... has severely impacted society and led to signs of famine in southern Gaza".

The statement called the operation "the beginning of a broad security campaign that has been long planned and will expand to include everyone involved in the theft of aid trucks".

A source from the European hospital in the southern Gaza city of Khan Yunis told AFP it had received the bodies of 15 people killed in connection with Monday's anti-looter operation.

An interior ministry source told AFP that 20 were killed in connection with the looting on Saturday of a World Food Programme convoy bringing aid into Gaza.

UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said in a press briefing in New York Monday that only 11 of the convoy's 109 trucks made it to the warehouse after entering through the Kerem Shalom crossing near the Egyptian border.

He said there was "severe damage to the trucks and in some cases, total loss of cargo on the trucks".

Dujarric called the incident the worst instance of looting in Gaza "in terms of volume".

He said the convoy had been initially planned for Sunday, but Israel's military told it "to depart on short notice via an alternate, unfamiliar route".

Israel, which imposed a total siege on the Hamas-ruled territory in the early stages of the war last year, often blames the inability of relief organisations to handle and distribute large quantities of aid.

Aid distribution is further complicated by shortages of fuel, war-damaged roads and looting, as well as fighting in densely populated areas and the repeated displacement of much of Gaza's 2.4 million people.

Several humanitarian officials told AFP on condition of anonymity that almost half the aid that enters Gaza is looted, especially basic supplies.

Pope Francis, has for the first time, addressed allegations that Israel's actions in Gaza may meet the criteria for genocide. According to extracts from his upcoming book, 'Hope Never Disappoints. Pilgrims Towards a Better World,' Published by Italy's La Stampa on Sunday (Nov 17), the pontiff has urged a thorough investigation into whether the situation in Gaza aligns with the legal definition of genocide as established by international law.

The pope wrote, "According to some experts, what is happening in Gaza has the characteristics of genocide," and stressed that this claim "should be studied carefully to determine whether (the situation) corresponds to the technical definition formulated by jurists and international bodies."

Gaza war: Israeli strike on UN-run school kills 10 Palestinians, rescue ops still on

Gaza's civil defence said 26 people, including children, were killed on Sunday and at least 59 were missing after an Israeli airstrike hit a building in the Palestinian territory's north.

Gaza's civil defence said 26 people, including children, were killed on Sunday and at least 59 were missing after an Israeli airstrike hit a building in the Palestinian territory's north. Following the strike early Sunday, 26 bodies were pulled from the rubble of the five-storey residential building in Beit Lahia, "including children and women", civil defence spokesman Mahmud Bassal told AFP. He added that at least 59 people were still trapped under the debris. AFP images showed men covered in dust scrambling to reach people under the rubble, while some of the bodies were taken away on a donkey-pulled cart. Other AFP images showed the flattened building with broken concrete and twisted metal sticking out from the ruins as more bodies covered in blankets lay nearby. Hamas, which runs the territory, accused Israel of committing a "massacre" which it said was "a continuation of the genocidal war and revenge against unarmed civilians". Hamas-run Gaza's health ministry on Sunday said the overall death toll in more than 13 months of war had reached 43,846. The majority of the dead are civilians, according to ministry figures, which the United Nations considers reliable. Hamas's October 7, 2023, attack that sparked the war resulted in the deaths of 1,206 Israeli people, mostly civilians, according to an AFP tally of Israeli official figures. A senior Hamas official said Friday (Nov 15) the Palestinian militant group was “ready for a ceasefire” in besieged Gaza. Hamas political bureau member Bassem Naim told news agency AFP that he wanted US President-elect Donald Trump to press Israel to “end the aggression”.

“Hamas is ready to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip if a ceasefire proposal is presented and on the condition that it is respected” by Israel, said the Hamas official. “We call on the US administration and Trump to pressure the Israeli government to end the aggression,” he added.

Naim added that he was in favour of a proposal that would achieve two things:

A definitive ceasefire in the Gaza

Withdrawal of the Israeli military from the Palestinian territory

Naim’s statement comes after the latest round of negotiations collapsed in mid-October. Israel has long maintained it will not agree to longer truces, with more disagreements revolving around the future role of Hamas and Israel’s military presence in Gaza.

Hamas ‘ready for ceasefire’; top official requests Trump to press Israel for peace

Aid agencies have time and again warned that famine is imminent in the Palestinian enclave. Last month the US gave Israel a deadline to boost aid in Gaza. While the US says Israel has passed the test on increasing aid supply, the UN says aid in Gaza is not enough for survival.

UN Says Aid in Gaza is Nowhere Close to Enough

The United Nations has stated that Israel's actions in Gaza may be consistent with reports of genocide, amid escalating violence in the ongoing Israel-Gaza conflict. The UN’s comments come after increasing concern over civilian casualties and the destruction of infrastructure in Gaza. Israel has denied the allegations, defending its military operations as necessary to combat terrorism.

Israel Not In Violation Of Law In Gaza Aid: U.S State Dept

The United States on Tuesday (Nov 12) said that Israel was not violating US laws regarding the level of humanitarian aid allowed into Gaza, but urged further progress. This comes a month after US President Joe Biden's administration set a November 13 deadline for Israel to improve access to humanitarian assistance or risk the suspension of some military aid.

US's 30-day deadline to Israel

Last month, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin sent a letter to Israel expressing concern over Gaza's humanitarian conditions. Setting a 30-day deadline until November 13, they asked Israel to comply with US laws on permitting humanitarian assistance.

While the US acknowledged improvements, including new border crossings and a gradual increase in aid flow, State Department spokesperson Vedant Patel said: “The overall humanitarian situation in Gaza continues to be unsatisfactory”.

However, when asked previously if Israel had met US demands, he said “We have not made an assessment that they (Israel) are in violation of US law.”

Patel said that though the steps are insufficient in fully addressing the humanitarian crisis, they are in the “right direction.”

“In the context of the letter, it's not about whether we find something satisfactory or not; it's what are the actions that we're seeing.”

“These actions that we have seen, we think that these are steps in the right direction,” he said.

“We want to see more steps. We want to see these steps sustained over a significant period of time, and ultimately, we want to see these steps have a result on the situation.”

The US had outlined a goal of 350 aid trucks entering Gaza daily—an unmet target. The State Department spokesperson emphasised that assessment is ongoing, with further action possible if progress stalls.

“After this 30-day period is up, we are constantly assessing and evaluating, and if we do not see consistent progress, if we do not see the results on the ground, then we will, of course, make appropriate assessments about their compliance with international law,” he said.

“What distinction was made, and what precautions were taken, if more than 70 per cent of civilian housing is either damaged or destroyed?” Msuya asked.

Famine in Gaza imminent?

On Friday (Nov 8), the independent Famine Review Committee (FRC) issued a rare alert that an imminent famine in northern Gaza could unfold without urgent intervention from all parties involved.

Israel, however, has rejected the warnings. On Saturday (Nov 9) rejecting warnings about a potential famine in northern Gaza, where Israel's military campaign against Hamas has led to severe shortages, the nation said researchers were relying on “partial, biased data”.

The situation in Gaza has escalated dramatically since Hamas' October 7, 2023, attack on Israel, which left over 1,200 Israeli civilians dead. Top UN official describes Gaza as 'wasteland of rubble' says civilians face 'daily cruelty' at Israel's hands

A terrorist named Yasser Ghandi, who allegedly participated in the October 7 attack on Israel, was killed in the frequent IDF drone strike in Gaza, The Times Of Israel reported.

According to the report by the news agency, the Israeli military said it had targeted a cell where gunmen were spotted operating in the Shejaiya neighbourhood of Gaza City.

Among the dead was Ghandi who according to the IDF infiltrated into Israel and participated in the attacks on October 7.

The IDF claim came the same day an Israeli strike hit the tents of displaced Palestinians in the central Gazan city of Deir Al-Balah, killing two people.

Video obtained by Reuters showed firefighters battling a fire in at least one of the tents and what appeared to be tins of canned food lying among the debris.

The strike on the tents came as the Israeli military said on Tuesday it had delivered hundreds of packets of food to cut-off areas of northern Gaza.

On the same day, US President Joe Biden's administration concluded that Israel was not violating US law on the level of aid entering Gaza even as aid agencies said it was still not enough.

Israel had announced the opening of an additional aid crossing into Gaza, just hours before the deadline set by outgoing President Joe Biden's administration to improve the humanitarian conditions in Gaza or risk a cut to military assistance.

Last month, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin sent a letter to Israel setting a deadline of November 13 to comply with US law on permitting humanitarian assistance.

Asked if Israel had met the demands, State Department spokesman Vedant Patel said: "We have not made an assessment that they are in violation of US law.

"The overall humanitarian situation in Gaza continues to be unsatisfactory. But in the context of the letter, it's not about whether we find something satisfactory or not; it's what are the actions that we're seeing.
