<p>47-year-old Sarah Boone, who was found guilty in October, now faces up to life in prison. Her prosecutors said that she zipped her boyfriend Jorge Torres, Jr., into a suitcase and recorded a video of herself taunting him before leaving him stuck inside the suitcase overnight to die.&nbsp;</p>

<p>State Attorney Andrew Bain issued a news release, stating that the couple was drinking alcohol and playing a game of hide-and-seek in February 2020.&nbsp;</p>

<p>They then thought "it would be funny" to get in a suitcase as part of the game, according to an arrest affidavit from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.</p>

<p>Boone said that Torres voluntarily hopped into the suitcase, and she zipped it, the news release read. She then recorded herself "taunting" her boyfriend as he asked her to let him out. However, she then went upstairs to sleep, the release added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Videos found on Boone’s phone that included Torres “frantically pleading to be released while Boone laughed and rebuffed him several times” were presented at trial, it added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“In the videos she recorded, the victim could be heard telling the defendant he could not breathe and asking to be let out of the suitcase,” the release read. “Boone responded with, ‘That’s what you get,’ ‘That’s what I feel like when you cheat on me’ and other taunts.”</p>

<p>According to the release, her boyfriend was seen saying, "I can't f*****g breathe, seriously." He was also pushing in the suitcase and trying to get out, the video showed, as per the affidavit.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“These holes have become a common sight for our freshwater fisheries biologists,” FWC’s Fish and Wildlife Research Institute wrote in a Facebook post dated Oct 18.</p>

<p>The burrows are being used by the fish species to safeguard its eggs, experts say. "Dug by the exotic and invasive armoured sailfin catfish (aka ‘plecos’ or ‘Plecostomus’), these burrows serve as nesting sites where the catfish protect their eggs and young," the institute said.</p>

<p>The fish nests aren't visible normally but are now making an appearance because the water level has dropped.</p>

<p>Armoured sailfin catfish reached Florida in the 1950s through the aquarium fish trade, Miami Heral quoted experts as saying. They are native to South America and can grow up to 22 inches in length.</p>

<h2><strong>Florida battles Hurricane Milton</strong></h2>

<p>Flordia has been battling the hurricane since its landfall on October 10. According to reports, the category 5 hurricane struck the west coast at around 6 am IST.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Warnings regarding flash floods were issued by the National Hurricane Center (NHC), and the residents in areas like Tampa, Saint Petersburg, and Clearwater were asked to take shelter amid 'extremely dangerous' winds.</p>

<p>The NHC, citing the radar data, stated that Hurricane Milton had formed in the Gulf Of Mexico and had made landfall close to Siesta Key in Sarasota County on the western coast. It added that the winds were flowing at a speed of up to 193 km per hour.</p>

<p>As reported by The Guardian, the hurricane left more than two million homes and businesses without power.</p>

<p>The winds also reached the east coast of Florida and led to a delay in the launch of&nbsp;the Europa Clipper mission.&nbsp;</p>

According to reports, the category 5 hurricane struck the west coast at around 6 am IST. Warnings regarding flash floods were issued by the National Hurricane Center (NHC), and the residents in areas like Tampa, Saint Petersburg, and Clearwater were asked to take shelter amid 'extremely dangerous' winds. The NHC, citing the radar data, stated that Hurricane Milton had formed in the Gulf Of Mexico and had made landfall close to Siesta Key in Sarasota County on the western coast. It added that the winds were flowing at a speed of up to 193 km per hour. As reported by The Guardian, the hurricane left more than two million homes and businesses without power. The winds also reached the east coast of Florida and led to a delay in the launch of the Europa Clipper mission.
