Actor-Politician Kamal Hassan has also extended his support to the demonstrations and said that his Makkal Needhi Maiam will protest with the farmers soon.&nbsp;

Thousands of farmers are protesting from 11 days against the three farms laws that were passed in September on borders of Delhi.&nbsp;

A fifth-round of talks on Saturday between farmer leaders and some union ministers was also unable to end the deadlock as farmers stuck to their demand of revoking the laws.&nbsp;

People from the Indian Tourist Transporters Association (ITTA) also endorsed the farmers demand as they were present outside the meeting venue with a banner that read 'we support farmers' and sloganeering that they are with the farmers.&nbsp;

"I belong to a farmer's family. I can related to their fears. We had farm land at Mahipalpur and now you see T-3 terminal out there. We are supporting the protesting farmers in their cause," IITA president Satish Sehrawat told news agency PTI.

He also said that they are providing transportation facility to the farmers from the day they met them.&nbsp;

Ahead of the ongoing meeting with farmer organisations, Union ministers, including Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to mull over proposals that will likely be offered to the protesters, sources said.

Union government has allowed farmers protesting against the Centre's farm laws to enter Delhi with permission to hold their agitation at the Burari ground.

Farmers faced tear gas and water cannons along the Delhi-Haryana border and clashed with police today as they marched towards the national capital as part of their 'Delhi Chalo' protest against the Centre's new farm laws.&nbsp;

The Delhi Police used tear gas shells to disperse a group of farmers who had reached the Singhu border, while at the Tigri border security personnel used water cannons to disperse farmers trying to enter the national capital.

"We have been allowed safe passage to Delhi," claimed Krantikari Kisan Union president Darshan Pal.

He said that officials of the Union home ministry had allowed them a place at Burari in Delhi to hold agitation.

Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh also confirmed the development.

"I welcome Centre’s decision to allow farmers to enter Delhi to exercise their democratic right to protest. They should also now initiate immediate talks to address farmers' concerns on the #FarmLaws and resolve the simmering issue," he tweeted.
