Katana joined the Good News church run by Pastor Paul Mackenzie in 2015 and became the deputy pastor soon. He said he admired Mackenzie initially for his preaching but soon felt a shift after the latter seemingly made contact with the 'God'. “He told me he had received a revelation from God. Everything bad started with this,” said Katana. Katana, who is co-operating with the authorities in the investigation, also revealed that children were treated brutally by being shut in huts for five days without food or water. "Then they wrapped them in blankets and buried them, even the ones still breathing," he added. After Katana left the cult, he said he went to the police to report that “kids are dying” in the forest. “They [Police] never took any action until it was too late,” he said. Official autopsies of some of the bodies found signs of starvation, suffocation and beatings. For an Earth-like planet, this process could wipe out a significant portion of ozone, which ultimately protects life from the dangerous ultraviolet radiation of its host star,” said Ian Brunton of the University of Illinois, in a statement. Brunton led the study that culminated with the detection of a new threat which may lead to the extinction of humans from Earth.&nbsp;

Around 31 supernovae and their aftermath in deep space were observed by astronomers to reveal that lethal doses of radiation will reach the planet which is located around 160 light-years away. The telescopes on supernova 1979C, SN 1987A, SN 2010jl, and SN 1994I were targeted by the team.&nbsp;

Researchers stated that after years of exposure to lethal X-rays from the supernova's explosion and ultraviolet radiation's impact from a planet’s host star, a huge amount of nitrogen dioxide is produced which leads to brown haze in the atmosphere.

During a virtual forum hosted by the Universal Peace Federation, the security expert warned of a potential threat from an EMP attack that could hit America's&nbsp;communications, water and sewer services, transportation systems&nbsp;and other key infrastructures.

“That poses a real threat of possibly being able to win a war with a single blow by means of an EMP attack," said Peter Vincent Pry, the executive director of Task Force on National and Homeland Security, a congressional advisory board.

“Moreover … they don’t envision employing an EMP by itself. It would be used in conjunction with cyberattacks and physical sabotage, and non-nuclear EMP.,” he added.

Combining EMP attacks with other modern unconventional military tactics could be even more devastating, he said.

The EMP Task Force had earlier sent out a report to the Congress, informing that China possesses so-called “super EMPs,” or weapons designed to create bursts of energy much stronger than past&nbsp;versions,

“This is regarded by&nbsp;Russia,&nbsp;China,&nbsp;North Korea&nbsp;and Iran as potentially the most decisive military revolution in history,” Pry&nbsp;said.

“By attacking the technological Achilles heel of a nation like the United States, you could bring us to our knees and not even have to do battle with the Marines or the Navy or the Air Force, and win a war in 24 hours with a single blow — a combined&nbsp;EMP&nbsp;cyberattack,” he added.

The Pentagon had warned that electronic warfare is an increasingly important piece of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) arsenal and its preparations for a potential clash with the US.
