US President-elect Donald Trump has put all of his shares of the Trump Media &amp; Technology Group (Parent company of Truth Social) into a trust that is controlled by his eldest son, according to a regulatory filing on Thursday (Dec 19). The Republican had transferred around 115 million shares to the trust, the Securities and Exchange Commission said. 
He did not sell the shares nor receive any financial consideration for the transfer of shares and the shares were described as a gift to the Donald J Trump Revocable Trust. Trump is the largest shareholder of the Trump Media &amp; Technology Group (53 per cent).

He is on the Trump Media board of directors and “has sole voting and investment power over all securities owned". The filing said Trump now “indirectly” owns the shares and is the trust's beneficiary. 
The motive behind the transfer of the shares is unclear as Trump has revealed during the presidential election campaigns that he had no plans to sell any of his shares. 
In 2017, when Trump took office, he transferred some of his assets and business holdings to the same trust. At that time, some of the experts criticised Trump's move as the trust was apparently created for Trump's benefit.

The civil lawsuit was criticised by Liz Harrington, a spokesperson for Trump, as a political move by Democrats against the Republican businessman.

"A tale of two justice systems — yes where criminals go free, and the Democrats only go after their political opponents!," she said taking to Trump's Twitter-like platform Truth Social.

The case submitted to the New York State Supreme Court claims that&nbsp;Trump's annual financial statements for at least a decade "grossly inflated" the worth of all of his properties, from Mar-a-Lago in Florida to Trump Tower in Manhattan, to a "staggering" extent.

The investigation is just one of numerous congressional, criminal, and civil inquiries into Trump, who plans to run for president again in 2024.

US President Donald Trump&#39;s elder son described India as an important market for The Trump Organization but said the global company will lose out on new deals because of self-imposed restrictions put in place by his father since he took office.

Donald Trump Jr.&#39;s comments, at the start of a trip to woo buyers for his luxury residential projects in several Indian cities, appeared aimed at blunting criticism that there could be possible conflict of interest in pushing the Trump brand name.

Trump Jr. said new business would take a hit in India.

&quot;Few years ago, I said it would become our largest (market) because I really believed in the market... I think it will continue to be the same when I am able to get back in the market and focus on the business side, on new deals again in the future, once my father is out of office,&quot; Trump Jr. told television channel CNBC-TV18 late on Tuesday.

Donald Trump Jr altered his version of the story Sunday night,&nbsp;after The New York Times, citing three White House advisors and two other people with knowledge of the meeting, stated that the purpose of the meeting was for damaging information on Hillary Clinton.
